#1: Forever - Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Eminem
Forever is a great opening track to a pregame hype up playlist. It's high tempo and energy along with great lyrics really gets everyone going and starting to get in the right mindset before a game. #2 A Milli - Lil Wayne Another great track that continues the high energy from the last one. Wayne's lyrics do a great job of getting you in the mindset of being the best version of yourself before a game. #3 Obey - Bring Me the Horizon Swerving out of rap and into of a more rock feel, Obey helps the team begin to amp up more for the physical nature of hockey and not to let the other team impose their own will on us. #4 Gold On the Ceiling - The Black Keys Going off of the hardcore we start to move into more upbeat and unifying music. Gold On The Ceiling is great for that and is a great song to start to wrap things up around. #5 INDUSTRY BABY - Lil Nas X Wrapping everything up is a great song that basically everyone knows and most know a lot of the lyrics. Gets the team singing together and really has everyone on the same page before the puck drops.

So true to character, I'm going to try and write this from the perspective of Isabella, who would have grown up in the 2010s.
You're Gunna Go Far Kid - Offspring This is oldest song on this playlist, but is a hockey classic. Isabella grew up in stadiums, and would've likely identified with the song growing up. Die Young - Kesha: Playing as a goalkeeper comes with a bit of acceptance regarding mortality. You're literally volunteering to stand in front of 60 km/hour minimum slapshots, and even more, you're trying to have it hit you! Who Dat Chick - David Guetta ft. Rihanna: Probably what Isabella would describe as her there song. She's spent her entire life having to prove that she belongs - an opportunity she embraces earnestly. Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO: Anyone living when this song came up got caught up in the shuffle trend that blew across the globe when this song came out. Isabella would've likely been in this boat as well. It's a great energy song! Right down her alley. Just Dance - Lady Gaga: Isabella loves dancing, and I've hit word count. Next 194 words |
