The Great Call Up

Registered Senior Member After 4 great seasons in the SMJHL, Brandon is making the jump the big leagues! It has been an amazing experience with both the ANA (YUM) and STL organizations! For a first generation you couldn't ask for a better experience and amazing teammates! Brandon had some great years, holding the C in ANA for 2 straight years and making the SMJHL All Star Game. I really want to thank all the leadership in ANA and STL who had faith in me and gave me the opportunity to grow in this league. I also want to thank the leadership in TBB for giving me the chance to continue and grow as my career moves forward. I am pumped to be moving up and ready to make a big plash in the SHL! Starting off with the draft it was such a remarkable experience. You get all these scouts reaching out getting to know you making you feel immersed in the experience like you really are in a draft getting hype for you player. I had great talks with so many great teams and when I was called at 2OA it was a shock to the emotions. I never thought being a first gen I would go that high. It felt great knowing ANA had that trust in me and gave me that chance. First season was a little underwhelming for what I hoped but being first year on a rebuild ANA team I feel it was a good start to a career. I spent time really getting an idea on what FHM weighs for stats and where I needed to improve to really take the next step. Come season 2 capped and ready it was a big jump. Almost doubled the point totals and set a career high in shots. It was a huge step in the career and really showed the direction my game was going in. Season 3 started with a shock seeing all the veterans I came into the organization with move on to other things and seeing ANA start the change to YUM. Once again the point totals almost doubled and this was the first year I was honored with a All Star vote. The offseason before season 4 came with some changes. ANA rebranded to Yukon and I was traded to STL to help Yukon start fresh as an organization. The leadership was so thoughtful and caring in the process kept me in the loop and really made me feel more like a player and not just some number or asset to dump. I really appreciate how they handled it. Season 4 brought new experiences and some major hype to my last season in the J. STL welcomed me with open arms and the atmosphere was amazing!! We had an amazing time crushing it through the regular season and made a huge splash in the playoffs to really show the youth and pedigree STL has in years to come. I wish everyone in the STL Organization the best and will be cheering for them on their run back to the playoffs and hopefully the ship next year! The future is bright in TBB. Coming off an amazing run in the playoffs and a tough fight in the finals. Coming that close to the championship left a bad taste in the mouth and we look to correct that next year. We have a great roster and look the really improve this year. I am hoping I can help hold down the scoring on the back end of the lineup and really bring some depth to the lineup.
