S69 SMJHL PT #6 - Playoff Dreams
#31

I have spent my free time exploring the mountains of Canada. I had my trip booked exactly 4 games after first round of playoffs. But of course the St. Louis Scarecrows wanted to battle and fight to the almost end. I had to postpone my trip to Canada. I was very disappointed in not getting to visit Canada right away. But I was so relieved when my agent booked me another flight to Calgary. I got to spend time with David Doug in the mountains. We went skiing and we had some amazing weather while we were there. we also had some amazing food. The first and last time I have squid. It was not very good but at least I got to eat some good fish. The drinks we had were delicious. I had to stop at the grocery store once to get some more coffee because it was so cold outside. The hotel we stayed at provided us with the best morning coffee and breakfast.

As expected, the Vancouver Whalers missed the playoffs. However, you could still say Wednesday Addams had a successful rookie season. She led her team in assists with 30, feeding linemates Jeff Lewis and Klaes Ashford many goals. Additionally, Wednesday led the entire league in hits. That is quite the feat for a rookie. It's safe to say she doesn't need to work on hits in this offseason. What she does need to improve on, is shooting. Wednesday scored 8 goals on 103 shots, an abysmal 7.8% shooting percentage. She has decided to spend these playoffs shooting lots of pucks. Not into nets, however. Wednesday has been practicing her shooting by aiming at birds. They're moving targets, so they require extra precision. For lower ranges, she aims at neighboring windows and cars. They give her that extra incentive to aim well. Wednesday hopes to double her amount of goals next season, while keeping up the physicality.
