Hello and welcome back to another article about the UCORCAL WJC team, we don't have the official results from out last one but today we have some interesting news.
This morning we received an email showing exactly what the team was doing before we showed up near the end of the scrimmages and it's odd to say the least, the Latvians were assigned to foraging pucks from the forests behind the arena using microwaves as timers to help out with their speed and diving in Lake Lubans to build up strength afterwards, we are not sure where these techniques were first used but it's definitely kept them away from all the butters and fats. That was only the start though, the team who came up in the next clip was Russia and their drills made even less sense, in the middle of the arena they told jokes and worked on their quick wits for reaction training while a few took turns helping the elderly cross the road gaining much needed leadership qualities, thankfully for everyone else it kept them far enough away so they didn't get pranked. Following that the Czech players were subjected to gallons of beer funneled through moving helmets to help with positioning and at the end of the day had them build a wall around the area to teach them defensive skills. Heck we even saw a player from other countries like Austria, Canada, United States, Columbia and a few from Australia trying out for the team all in the same group singing songs at the top of their lungs on the roof boosting their stamina using coffee as refreshers, for some reason though the second half of the clip looked to be a family vacation, it had the players but no way all they had to do after was relax in the beautiful weather right? right?? Who thought of all of this??? If so we are not sure what skill they learned from it but if it was keeping them away too for isolation purposes, we can guess it was to bring more awareness and learn more about their teammates on the ice to help with chemistry. One thing we did notice that was even stranger than the creative ways we saw them prepare their players for some big games was a few faces not matching the names on our previous list, Bryzi is actually Hlemyzd, Wen is Holloway, Kailyev is Rence Sykut, Nankov is Marek Carda, Akmetzhanov is Konhe and finally Kunatzov is Olivija Agate. We're not sure why these players chose to use fake names to score them a few more points during the drills but it seems like the manager loves their spunk, bright eyes and bushy tailed approach, at least were right about Kastrba, Winters, Shevchenko, Ivanov and Federov.. They were definitely there on their own accord. Players we are still yet to hear any word from are Madden, Blanks and by the looks of it other eligible names like The Murray, Billy Hill, Dan Craig, Wehadababyitsaboy, Bellamy Blake, Boho Biscuit, Ondrej von Stroodrick, Lily Jin Morrow, Squidwardo Tentacles, Juan Tymer, Rodrigo Banes, Stormlord Imotekh, Leo Roze, Troy McClure III, Cal Juice, sabage cabage, Launchpad McQuack and Average dude didn't make it to the contest as well. Lastly, we also mentioned star talent Lightning never showing up, they actually were never allowed to participate in the first place. It's certain any of last year's recruitment paperwork was probably used for toilet paper during the event and Zaichikov is definitley starting off fresh and a character like we imagined, not only did she show up to every challenge with a whistle at every fail we also saw her make bonds with each of the participants to get to know them even more, laughed with the jokers, appeared to speak intelligently during the coaching sessions, relaxed with the rest of the team in the photos we saw earlier all behind the scenes and never commanded too much attention from the camera crew. After getting to know a little more about the new leader for UCORCAL it makes sense why she has had a huge presence on the radio shows lately, there's a lot to unravel and it's early! We still don't know if she read the rules yet but the fans from all over the country are still geared to go playing road hockey and are currently buying out "WJC" themed hockey targets from the league store as they still wait anxiously for the official announcements. On the audio side of thing's the only thing we could hear was "I love you" in the background from one of the Mother we think had to be Agate's being so young and nervous as she still prepares himself to be drafted by an SMJHL team. Another fact we do know now after watching all this footage is that other than a few notable names striving at the top of the league lining up with all the traditions UCORCAL demands, it seems like the rest of the league could be in for a lot of surprise picks when the final rosters and grades get released, if they go all in on one country, focus on the best of the best or use a spinning wheel to decide it's going to be a must see because they'll be trying their best regardless and look to have the attribute portion down testing their players in all sorts of different ways. Will the UCORCAL team strengthen their country even more for the future? Compete at the top of the tournament?? Be the most active team at the tournament??? Have too many of a certain skill or position???? All five????? Guess we'll only truly know when the puck gets dropped. Thanks for tuning in again, see you next week when we finally get to announce who made the roster!.. Unless I we are left out of the loop again for something else and need to report on it :p last article if none of this makes sense to you: https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=133639 ![]() SMJHL GM Knights GM ![]() Donators Donated ![]() SMJHL GM Grandfather of the Rats
