NoNo Jo granted us an interview and here's what he had to say about his new team:

How do you feel about the draft?
I am happy to join Vancouver for my first ever season in the SJMHL! I am definitely looking forward to being on an established team full of other dedicated players.

Did you have any preference towards where you were going to be drafted?
I didn't have a real preference, but I was definitely interested in the fact that I could be drafted later on- which means I would go to a team that had done well last season. I think it worked out perfectly for me.

How do you feel about your team mascot?
Although the Vancouver Whalers are in fact based in Vancouver, I enjoy the fact that in some other parallel universe of sorts that the Whalers are a predecessor of the Canes in North Carolina (Go Canes!)

Every other team initially passed on you, how do you plan to make them pay?
I’m a lover, not a fighter… except on the ice. I’ll make them pay as I achieve total world… I mean SHL… domination.

Vancouver had a great haul of draftees this year, any thoughts on the upcoming season?
I mean I think Vancouver did an excellent job picking their draftees. I couldn’t have chosen better myself. The other teams really better watch out this season, they’re going to need to be on their A game to even stand a chance.
