Lord Pretty Flacko
@Baelor Swift With a career spanning 19 seasons, Flacko found a home in Minnesota. Originally drafted by New England, playing with them for 1 4/5th seasons, before being shipped to Winnipeg. Flacko found a home in Minnesota. From there, Flacko thrived, becoming the best form of himself. Which eventually leads him to being in the top 75 all time SHL players. Like most STHS players, Flacko found himself in the around .5 PPG range as a rookie and following that. So in S26 when Flacko was called up to the Wolfpack, he scored 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points. Earning himself a Ryan Jesster nomination and Rookie All Star. His 2nd season however, he was traded at the end of the season to the Winnipeg Jets. The official trade being that the Jets received Lord Pretty Flacko, Jack Durden and a 2nd. New England received Mitchell Dambach, a 1st, and a 2nd. Ending the S27 season in Winnipeg, Lord Pretty Flacko’s rights were traded to Minnesota for the 21st OA pick in that draft. With that trade, Flacko found his home. Off the start, it was still a bumpy road. Flacko has yet to break out as a player in S28 or 29. Going 28 and 37 points, playing mostly on the 2nd or 3rd line. But S30 was the change of that. Bumped up to the first line, Flacko showed the SHL world what he was capable of. Scoring a career high 27 goals, and a career high 35 assists, Flacko reached 62 points for the season. His first season above a PPG. And with that he was nominated for the Aidan Richan trophy for breakout player, and earned himself the 2nd All Star team. S31 he was even better. Scoring 34 goals and 31 assists for 65 points. Winning the Jay McDonald for most goals in the league, the Sergei Karpotsov for most points in the league, winning the Sarmah Khan for players voted MVP, and being nominated for the Ron Mexico for the award committee voted league MVP. Next season in S32 he followed up with another great season. With the double shifting era coming into effect, Flacko scored 36 goals this time around, and 32 assists for 68 points. Winning his 2nd Jay McDonald, and his 2nd Nomination for the Ron Mexico. S33 was a disappointment, only scoring 49 points. S34 he was coming back into his peak form, scoring 32 goals, 31 assist for 63 points. S35 showed his last major award win, as he lead the league in points for the final time. Scoring 29 goals and 38 assists for 67 points. S36 was his best year point wise though. But other names like Randy Randleman or Jason Visser was just as good or better than Flacko that year. So for Flackos' worth, he only got a 1st All Star nomination, and a Jeff Dar nom. After S36, things started to slow down for Flacko. For most people, slowing down meant getting maybe 30-40 points. For Flacko however, that meant getting 40-50 points. As For the next 6 seasons that's what he got. 49,48,42,45,43,40 points. One major thing did happen though. S39 is when Flacko finally won his cup. Minnesota finally won their first Challenge cup since S12. Marking the drought of 37 seasons without winning a cup was over. Flackos final season was in S43, where his body finally broke down, and his minutes were reduced. Only getting 26 points that season, Flacko retired. So what is Flacko’s legacy? For Minnesota its helping them get their first cup in 37 seasons. For the league it was the dominance from S31-S36. A 7 season span where Flacko was one of the best players on the ice. And for the career Flacko had 899 games played, 388 goals, 468 assists for 856 points. WHen he retired he was 9th all time in points. And had a career PPG of .952. Which in STHS, was probably the best you could do if you weren't Terrance Nova or Jason Visser at the time. Winning 2 McDonalds, 2 Karpotsov, and 2 Mexico Nominations. Winning the Khan once. Only thing sweeter would have been a Mexico win. Flacko had a career that most people would dream about.

Curious to see where Randleman and Vlad McZ end up in the rankings in comparison to flacko. Those three were always very comparable players.
