Revolutionary New Discovery Rocks Hockey World!
#1

This just in, scientists in Chad have announced that they have developed a method to turn sand into ice. The breakthrough has been years in the making, with Chad's top minds working around the clock to crack the code.

This breakthrough comes at a pivitol moment for the IIHF. With the hockey world turning their attention to international play, many new nations have begun the initial process to form federations and apply to represent their countries on the global stage. South Sudan was the first to apply for membership merely hours ago, claiming that they had enough ice now so that everyone could play hockey. Australia, a country with a rich hockey history but famously mostly a desert, announced new investments into its hockey program throughout the outback. And word has just come in that island nation Fiji played it's first ever game of hockey in the country, right next to its crystal blue waters.

This story is still developing and the implications are sure to be far reaching. Could the SHL go global? Will we see even more talented youngsters lace up the skates and dazzle us with their talent? Now that ice rinks can be cheaply built from readily available, cheap material, the possibilities are endless!
