The season 7 NWJHL draft is in a few days and the addition of EEL players is taking this draft to another level. Many says that this move will create a very competitive season of junior hockey and the mix of North american and europeen player should be realy interesting. We heard rumours today about the Montreal home grown TheGreat Deezy who would only play in Montreal but another player have said that earlier this week. Another young star player, from Sweden
this time, Markus Dahlquist.

The big defenceman was drafted 18th overall by the Verona Honeybadgers last fall in the EEL and SHL scouts are already
keeping their eyes on him. He is very talented and he have a lot of potential. Dahlquist is a defense specialist with good skating skills. He is also known for his shape, he never seem to be tired on the ice and always give is 100%. Thats the reason he played top minutes for the Honeybadgers. He was responsible in his own zone all season long, blocking shots and frustrating other team forwards. Obviously playing on PK, Markus also played on PP and cumulate 4 of his 16 ptson the man adantage during the regular season.

He is the kind of player that goes in the corner and take the hits to clear the zone but he also like to skate the puck and take some chances in the offensive zone. Dahlquist is also a great leader and for all those reason he was named Honeybadgers captain. He showed a lot of constistency through all season and he and the Honeybadgers just won the EEL championship cup. The sweden defenceman played an awesome tour with a solid +8 after 9 games and he get a pass on the last game winning goal.

No wonder why the press and Impact fans are exited about this rumour. Having two young futur stars like TheGreat Deezy and Markus Dahlquist would be a blessing for the Impact. They are both leaders and they would bring experience to the young rookies. But nothing is done yet and we all know that the draft can be very umpredictable. Does the Impact will be able to draft both of them and if not, are these two players realy not going to play for any other teams? thats what we will see very soon.

my steady pace of 70 hits and SBs also 46 TA to 3 GA in the whole season should be enough to lock you tf down, even in practice B)

but i had the top 3 in all defensive stats as a forward, while being 2nd in the league in scoring. So even if you find the miraculous way of shutting me down, ill just shut down your forwards Wink
