400 words Author: Zema/ Eligible for bonuses (first week). After this insane list of prospects dropped by gobbles earlier today became public knowledge, there was one name that shone bright with his absence. Kristoffer Matsson. Notable Stats. The two-way centerforward played for The Breakers in the S46 Prospect Showcase, and showed that despite being a rookie coming in late he can still deliver on the score sheet when it matters the most. 23 points in 32 games -16 in +/- Ranked 11th worst in +/-. 75 HTT, Ranked 16th for most hits received. 57.93 FO%, Ranked 6th. 688 FOT, Ranked 24th. Out of the top 25 players in FOT, only two players beat Matsson in FO%. Kristoffer Matsson is a Forward So okay, his stats weren't great. But you have to look at the intangibles. 1. He was centering and leading the charge on one of the worst lines in the Showcase, where his team came in last in the division. 2. He was constantly put under major threat from the other teams players. 3. He still had a great FO%. 4. He just came back from a 4 week long injury after breaking both of his legs in a very tragic polar bear accident. 5. He managed to spell intangibles correctly without spell check. 6. A completely unbiased sourced claimed him to become the First OA pick. 7. Seriously though, just look at that FO%. 8. +/- is a bad stat to measure impact, an area of which he had a lot. 9. He is a very active and social and positive player, as seen by the interview above. But did you know, that Kristoffer Matsson will represent the reigning champions Team Scandinavia in the upcoming WJC? Neither did the GMs of TS, until they released their list of players. And since then all they have to say about him is praise. That should tell you a lot about him. And if all of this doesn't convince you to vote Matsson choose Kristoffer Matsson as your 1st round pick, then there isn't much else I can say apart from once thing. Just look at that FO%, like come on! Also, choose with your hearts, not your brains. Sincerely, Zema. |
