Hello all, thank you all for joining us for the announcements for the captainship of the Vancouver Whalers in S45. As you know we have gotten a massive crop of young guys to join us, as a lot of the old guard has been called up. We would like to thank our old captains for guiding us last season, but let us look ahead and try to do even better than last season.

So without further ado let us announce out captains

First we would like to announce our home and away Assistant Captains

For our Home games, the person who is wearing the A will be.... Casimir Stevens!! @Daco

Stevens since he has gotten into the locker room as been a steadfast voice, pushing us to our victories with stellar performances. The best goalie in his draft class will lead us to a lot of victories. When he is not in net he likes to do charity work with the Vancouver youth. We welcome the leadership on and off the ice for our wonderful goalie.

For our away games, the person who will be wearing the A will be... Borromini Cannelini @ArGarBarGar

Borromini is also a newest recruit of the whalers, This center has already proven himself in both the preseason and the regular season already, a perfect pick for us at #7 and we dont regret it at all. Dare I say future SHL HOF in the distance future, Cannelini will do well as our Assistant Captain here

For our other Assistant Captain at all times, is none other than Bernik Vrazala @Off

Ever since he walked into the Czechoslovakia locker room when he declared for the draft, I knew he was someone that I wanted to draft, and when we did we coulndt think of a better person to get drafted there. A leader in the Czech Locker room and the Whalers Locker Rooms, Vrzala is what a whaler is, a Winner, both on and off the ice. Already on the top 2 line D-Pairing Vrzala has shown us that he has what it takes to succeed in the SMJHL, and hopefully in the SHL.

Finally for our Captain, oh captain my captain we would like to name one of our best players since his sophomore seasons here, and a staple since S42, mr Jack Kennedy!! @JRed94

Jack Kennedy was selected in the later rounds in the S43 SHL draft to the SFP, and he has opted to stay down one more season in order to help the young guys get acclimated to the league. His experience in the league and dominance in the league is showing already, getting 17 points in the first 15 games. As one of the best forwards in the SMJHL last season we expect him to be even better this season.
