Moods were high after the first Four Star Cup Finals game played at The Saloon in Anaheim, California. The home team Anaheim Outlaws had managed to win their second straight game to take a 2-1 series lead over the Montreal Militia after stealing a game on the road. The biggest surprise of the night was from recently named Co-GM and player Collin Gibbles. Many astute analysts noticed Gibble's family, friends, and his significant other Anna Kendrick front row next to the Anaheim bench cheering on the team and their favorite Outlaw. Fans even noticed a brief moment between the pair as warm-ups were wrapping up and Gibbles skated near the fan section.


As time expired the team rushed the ice in celebration of the win. Fans were going crazy for the home town team as they saluted the fans. Slowly one by one the players made their exit off the ice until only Gibbles remained. Slowly the lights dimmed in the arena and a warm red spotlight was cast on the winger. Gibbles began making his way to his fan section as expert arena staff had removed a glass pane taking down the barrier between Gibbles and his loved ones. Gibbles was handed a mic as he took off his helmet. The normally calm player seemed to be filled to the brim with excitement and could barely stand still. Gibbles "I want to first thank all the fans here tonight for the support they have shown the Outlaws franchise and myself these past 3 seasons. We never would have made it this far without your support. This win is for all of you."

Crowd Cheering and Let's Go Outlaws Chants echo throughout the stadium

Gibbles "But I wanted to make tonight an extra special night. I will be moving on to Minnesota soon and I wanted to finish something I started in Anaheim. As many of you have noticed my family have been sitting rink-side cheering me on all game. But the loudest voice is and will always be my partner Anna."

Gibbles "I met Anna shortly after I moved here 3 seasons ago to join this organization. She has been with me throughout all the twists and turns and been not only my greatest support system but my best friend. Whether it is late night Taco Bell runs after a game/interview, a night out on the town, or just a cozy night at our home by the beach; I have never felt as happy as when I am with you, Anna. I never thought I would meet someone who makes me feel so complete as a person. I have been thinking of this moment since the day I met you."

Gibbles kneels down on one knee and pulls out a ring tied to a chain around his neck





Kendrick "YES OF COURSE I WILL!"


Kendrick was helped onto the ice as the couple embraced and the crowd went nuts. Gibbles slipped the ring on her finger, and they shared a tender moment. Gibbles then picked up his new fiancée and carried her to the players bench and the happy couple exited out of the tunnel.

That was the last that fans got to see of the newly engaged couple, save for a short press comment as Gibbles exited the team locker room.

Little did the public know that Gibbles had planned an after party at his Seal Beach home to celebrate the win and happy news. In our next article we will be catching first hand testimonials of the night. Many members of the Outlaws organization were spotted entering the Gibbles household that night and many were not seen leaving until the next afternoon.
