UCORCAL is excited to announce its roster for the WJC. There were a ton of people to be put on the roster and the competition was fierce and unfortunately, it means a lot of strong young talents were not able to make the cut this year even though some are playing for their respective national teams. The Head GM is RaginCajun with @Blastmeaway is Co-GM. Now on to the roster. Josef Kubinec @"Marc Bradford" Kubinec of Czechia and also of the Halifax Raiders will play as a forward for the team he scored a total of 46 points for his team this past season and is the number 5 best left wing of the SMJHL, as well as number 4 for Goal scoring streak, and number 5 in point-scoring streak will make for a potent offensive piece to the UCORCAL roster. Borůvka Banananák @PeanutButter Banananák also from Czechia and of the Lethbridge Lions will be joining the team as well with a netted total points of 42 last season as well as netting a hat trick and being 7th best right wing in the SMJHL makes for another potent addition to the UCORCAL offensive production. Ravyn Tedisko @Darkened_Rose_16 Tedisko another Czech and member of the former Montreal Militia now Carolina Kraken will also be on board with the UCORCAL forwards. Tedisko netted 29 points last season and brings the Broad Street Bully style of hockey Montreal became famous for by her leading the league with 106 hits last season putting her at 4th for most hits. Jan Zacha @StaticShocked Zacha also another Czech is being brought onboard UCORCAL as well. The member of the Vancouver Whalers netted 31 points last season for the Whalers and had an impressive 54.25% faceoff win percentage making him 8th in the league. Aron Hernadivic @jfisherr Hernadivic also another Czech and member of the St. Louis Scarecrows will be joining UCORCAL for the WJC. The young rookie only produced 14 points this past season and will be one of the youngest members of the UCORCAL squad and one of three rookies. Calogero Crudelli @jason97 Crudelli of Latvia and the Colorado Raptors will be joining the squad this year. Crudelli produced a whopping 51 points for the Raptors and was tied for third in the league for assists with 32, 5th in the league for shots at 168, 2nd in the league for Left Wings, and tied for first in the league for shorthanded goals at 2. Mika Kandinsky @Mika_Kandinsky Kandinsky the Russian forward recently called up for the Toronto North Stars and formerly played for the St. Louis Scarecrows will also make an appearance for UCORCAL. Kandinsky netted 45 points for the Scarecrows. He also was the 4th best center in the SMJHL, 5th best in +/- with a 22, and tied for second with game-tying goals with 3. Kandinsky will be a massive powerhouse for UCORCAL this tournament. Skao Anazibf @nour Anazibf of Novosibirsk, Russia, and member of the Detroit Falcons will be joining an already stacked squad. He scored a total of 27 points for the Falcons and should be a solid addition to the roster. Jagger Fouquette @Waters Fouquette originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada but who has transferred to the Russian IIHF will be joining the squad. Fouquette another member of the Detroit Falcons is another massive offensive producer that will join an already impressive array of offensive production by the UCORCAL team. Fouquette scored 39 points for the Falcons last season. On top of that he was 9th in the league for goals scored at 22, led the league in shooting percentage at 23.40%, was the 8th best left wing, 6th in the league for points per 20 minutes at 1.03, tied for first in power-play goals at 8, tied for 4th for game-winning goals at 5, tied for 3rd for goal scoring streak, and to top off the impressive accolades led the league in point scoring streak. Khabib Nurmagomedov @khabib Nurmagomedov another Russian and Detroit Falcon will be joining the squad. He scored 42 points for the Falcons last year. As well as tied for 6th best left wing, 7th in the league for points per 20 minutes at 1.01, tied for 1st in +/- with 31, and tied for 3rd for goal scoring streak. Jakub Bruchevski@JaytheGreat Bruchevski a Russian playing for the St. Louis Scarecrows will be joining the squad this year. Bruchevski scored 27 points for the Scarecrows last season and was 4th in the league for faceoffs won at 54.84% adding to the strong center lineup that will lead UCORCAL to victory this WJC. Artem Mozgov @diacope Mozgov a Russian who plays for the Vancouver Whalers will join alongside his fellow Russians this season. Mozgov produced 24 points this season for the Whalers on top of that he also bagged 7 power-play goals tying him for 4th in the league this season. Izem Abioye @eddiesnothere Abioye a native of Nigeria who transferred to the Czechia IIHF will be joining UCORCAL this WJC. Abioye is a defenseman currently playing for the Detroit Falcons who netted 7 points this last season. Mikas Bieksa @ontanis Bieksa originally from Lithuania but playing for the Czechia IIHF will be joining UCORCAL this WJC. Another member of the Vancouver Whalers the defenseman netted 37 points for his team this last season. He was also tied for 6th for assists with a total of 31, and the 8th best Defenseman and third for minutes played. Jakob Hamr @TomHanks Hamr of Czechia and member of the Lethbridge Lions as well as being the second rookie on the squad will be joining UCORCAL for this WJC. Hamr netted 7 points for the Lions this season and was 4th in the league for shots blocked with a whopping 67 total. Hamr will bring a strong defense to the UCORCAL defensive pairings. Flash Gordon @twerkin4jesus Gordon of Czechia and member of the St. Louis Scarecrows will be joining as the third and last rookie to be joining up with the UCORCAL squad. Netting 10 points for the Scarecrows last season will see him joining with alongside other strong Defensemen making up the pairings for UCORCAL. Kaspars Claude @Bruins10 Claude of Latvia and currently playing for what was the Montreal Militia at the Carolina Kraken will be leading the charge for the UCORCAL defensemen. Claude scored 25 points last season. Claude was 5th for shots blocked at 65 and tied at 7th for game tying goals at 2. The recent Carolina acquisition will prove to a formidable part of the offense and defense of UCORCAL this WJC. Olivier Klozoff @Alex Mack Klozoff of Dickson, Russia and recent callup of the Steelhawks and former player of the Halifax Raiders will be part of the squad this WJC. Klozoff scored a total of 21 points and will prove to be a solid addition to the defensemen pairings for UCORCAL. Piotr Horvat @Slowpoke Horvat the Russian playing for the Kelowna Knights will be playing for UCORCAL this WJC. Horvat scored a total of 32 points for his team last season and brings his strong physical play to the team. Horvat 10th in the league for hits with a total of 99, tied for fourth in power play goals with a total of 7, and second in the league for minutes played. Horvat will be a strong part of the already formidable defensemen corps that are making up UCORCAL hockey this WJC. Derek Bohne Jr. @wumaduce Bohne Jr. formerly of the United States but playing for the Russian IIHF will be joining UCORCAL this WJC. The Colorado Raptors Defenseman will be rounding out the squad. Bohne Jr. scored 39 points for Colorado last season, he was also tied for 6th in assists with a total of 31, tied for 4th best defenseman, 3rd in blocked shots with a total of 68, tied for 5th in hits with a total of 102, and topped off with tied for third for goal scoring streak. Knox Booth @Tate Booth originally from Canada but now a member of the Czechia IIHF has been selected to be the starting goaltender for UCORCAL. Recently called up by the Los Angeles Panthers and formerly playing for the Colorado Raptors Booth brings a solid netminding to the team. Booth had the 7th best save percentage of the SMJHL at .877, 6th in the league for goals against average at 2.95, 3rd in the league for minutes played by a goalie, 3rd in the league for shots faced at 1,041, 3rd in the league for shutouts at 3 total, tied for 5th in the league for wins at 20. Shiqa Vitalievich @NylarthePhoenix Vitalievich has been selected to be the backup goalie. A Russian an inactive corpse that had to be reanimated so we could shove someone into the net when Booth needs a break. We are excited to announce this team and we are looking forward to showing the world what the UCORCAL members are capable of.
