"This is it", I thought as I sat in my seat and the commissioner took the stage. My whole life had come to this point and I was ready to continue y hockey career on. I waited for what seemed like ages (it really wasn't that bad of a wait honestly) before I heard my name called. When I heard the General Manager of the St. Louis Scarecrows announced my name at number nine I was overjoyed. I took my walk to stage and shook his hand and waved to the crowd. I grabbed my jersey with my last name "Lockwood" sprawled across the back. With a big grin I put in on and put my Scarecrows hat on. My dream had come reality. i stopped by to sign things with fans and take pictures because I knew it would mean a lot to them.
When asked how I felt to be picked at number nine I said, "It means a lot that St. Louis took such a big risk on me and I am going to prove that I was well worth the pick".
I had the typical photo op with the team before I got to try on my new uniform and meet some of my new teammates. Some of them of course I already knew cause we were drafted together like Richard Majors (@Hefe4711). So it was great knowing some guys coming into the draft and know I get to play with them. I am sure we will be able to bond with one another and make a run for the Four Star Cup. I know we fell a little bit short last year but I have no doubt that we will be back in the finals this season. To anyone says otherwise, they can go straight to hell, GO SCARECROWS!
I can say without a doubt I am glad where I ended up and I know I can help this team grow. I hope to make an immediate impact and to make my coach and teammates proud, So wish me luck everyone.
Also thank you to all the general mangers that took a look at me and contacted me about what I was like. I appreciate the scouting. Also congratulations, to all the other guys in ou class that got drafted. I know it is a big deal for all of us. Good luck this year everyone
