(Graded) A look at S56 Platoon Young Guns (deep dive #1)

It's no secret to anyone that the Baltimore Platoon are in the thick of a rebuild. Their roster is composed mostly of aging and middling players with a few younger guys sprinkled in. While it's not the prettiest site to look at right now, there's lots to be hopeful for in the future for the platoon. For the purpose of this deep dive, we will be going over all the S50 and younger players the platoon have in their system who project to make the team for S56

(S50) Karl Krashwagen

The current star of the group, Krash is a dominant power forward who is looking to keep improving his physical and offensive game over the coming years. He's already the platoon's top winger and will likely sit there for many seasons to come. Currently at 1230 TPE, Krash is on pace to build one of the leagues premier power forwards once all is said and done. I would definitely be looking out as Krash makes his mark on the league in the next few seasons.

(S51) Luca Del Vecchio

Del Vecchio came into the league relatively early as far as goalies go but boy, he wasn't gonna let that show. He came in with confidence and has easily and definitively taken over the Baltimore crease and will continue to be the guy the team looks to between the pipes for many, many seasons to come. Sitting at 1142 TPE, Del Vecchio is on pace to be one of, if not the single highest TPE goalie in the league at his peak. The Platoon can consider themselves lucky to have such a strong presence in net for such a long period of time to come.

(S52) Simothy Drunkbird

Simothy Drunkbird is a bit of a special case as he was a waiver pickup in a league that has seen less waiver claims in 50+ seasons than I have fingers on one hand. That said he immediately made an impact for the platoon by dropping a massive update and coming in with several clutch goals over the course of the season. Drunkibird is living prrof that one man's trash is another man's treasure as he projects to be a very useful depth player for quite a while for the team.

(S52) Sabo Tage

The player of Co GM Glyc, Tage is another player who came up a little earlier than we would've liked due to team needs. That said he's quickly climbed the ranks of the defensive core and even finds himself currently sitting on the first pair next to Nat Emmerson. He is hovering just over 800 TPE which projects him to be a solid defenseman both now and down the road.

(S53) Valentin Kalashnikov

Acquired in a trade with the Tampa Bay Barracuda, Kalashnikov was brought in with the goal of eventually being the team's premier defender. The price to acquire him was quite hefty however his worth has been shown in spades over his short few seasons with the team. Not only is he an irreplaceable LR presence, he also has almost 800 TPE as a S53 player. Once he get's called up, he can expect top 4 minutes in every single situation right off the bat. At this rate, Kalashnikov is looking to be the Platoons stalwart defender for years to come.

(S53) Ethan Duncan

another fellow S53 draftee, Duncan is one of the top forward prospects currently in the entire league. I don't just mean that in terms of TPE, though that would still be true as he's sitting at 830 in his final send down season, but also in terms of his involvement on the site. Given his level of progression, Duncan projects to be a top line player as soon as he's called up all the way until he gets old enough to fall out of that spot. Given that he's on track for 2k+ TPE, it's safe to assume the platoons have themselves a top line forward here for the foreseeable future.

APPROVED! +5 TPE @JR95
