![]() Registered lord of the fries ![]() ![]() Seventh day of the regular season, Carolina Kraken travels to Detroit to face the Falcons once more. Going to first period Carolina had won both encounters they have had so far this season, and the Falcons are looking to make a difference to that. Despite valiant efforts by Detroit, its the Kraken who blows stronger during first minutes of first period. With 5 minutes played, Carolina shoots their seventh shot of the game which goes right under Detroit netminder Valtteri Aalto, scored by Golden Face, who takes his team the early lead. With 6 minutes being played Detroit havent had a single shot against Carolina Kraken net and its goaltender Ragnar-Alexandre Ragnarsson-Tremblay – until Anton Mihailov steps in, shoots his teams first shot and scored to tie the game. Despite Detroit tying the game, Carolina keep control of the game that only lasts a few minutes until Detroit barrage Ragnarsson-Tremblay with shots for a brie moment. They also manage to get more control of possession. In their first powerplay, Carolina failed to build up their chances calmly – and fail miserably over the course of Detroit’s penalty. Minute or so later, Aleksander Kozlov surprises Valtteri Aalto through his five-hole and takes his team the lead once more. Brilliant chance a few seconds later by Jonathan Granström, who deflects the puck towards Ragnarsson-Tremblay, but he keep it safe. No more good things happen during first period, and it ends with Carolina in a comfortable 2-1 lead. Going to second, Detroit is hungry for more. Theyve already overcame Carolina in shots but all they can get is a lousy shoot onto a post. Carolina manages to climb back in overall possession and gets a good ten shots on target before allowing their opponents to get back into the game. Carolina was unsuccesful once more on powerplay, but Freyja Hellström steps up and scores, making it 3-1 in their favor. Over the course of the period Detroit have fallen short in possession and chance creating, allowing Carolina to get more and more control. Ending second period, Carolina stands very much tall in their 3-1 lead. Third and final period, its now or never for the Detroit Falcons. Someone clearly understands what that means, and that someone is Bjorn Thornsen as he scored a narrower just 27 seconds into the period. Carolina shocked by the brief response by Falcons member fail to continue their dominance that concluded during the second period, allowing Detroit to get back into the gamer slightly. Regardless of Falcons attempts to score an equalizer, Vitek Vitecek takes his own advantages and makes the most out of them to score Carolina’s fourth of the game to make it 4-2 in their favor. Time is now very much against Detroit with just 13 minutes left, and just few minutes after Vitecek’s goal Aleksander Kozlov gets himself his second of the game to make it 5-2 in favor of the Carolina Kraken. Detroit’s pit of despair grows greater over every second that passes. Carolina heavily in possession doesnt help them at all, but what does help is Kermit Murphy following up his offensive chance to the end, picking up a rebound on his own shot and tallies it past Ragnarsson-Tremblay to make it 5-3. 3 left in the game and Golden Face surpasses Valtteri Aalto once more in this game to make it 6-3 for his team’s favor. Jonatan Granström has a great effort to narrow it down once again, but Luukas Lilja is just too big for him to get past. With just 44seconds left into the game Anton Mihailov shoots his second goal of the game to make it 6-4, but its too late, time is up, and Carolina proceeds to come out victorious against the Detroit Falcons. ![]() ![]() Second game of the day, Carolina faces Nevada Battleborn. Nevada starts out the game very strong with possession and chance creating, while not allowing Carolina to have the puck at all. Carolina had their first shot at 7 minute mark, but Nevada disregarded that and just continued to play their own game. Battleborn’s forward seem to have a rusty day as they have not gotten past Carolina Kraken netminder Blunt Man so far in this game. End of first period and no goals were scored Heading to second period Carolina needs to be more involved in the game, which they do. For the first minutes of second period they dont let Nevada have the puck at all, and just shy of 3 minutes Vitek Vitecek scores the first of the game to give his team the early lead. Vitecek’s goal gives Carolina a very massive boost in confidence, and they proceed to dominate the second period. Not only does Tomas Lind make it more in favor by scoring their second, to make it 2-0, they still not have given Nevada any chances in their own area. It takes Nevada 9 minutes to slightly get back into the game, but its no use. Blunt Man is right now very much unstoppable behind Carolina Kraken’s net. With 2 period being played, Nevada has had 26 shots, 0 goals, and meanwhile Carolina has had 12 shots and 2 goals. Goaltender difference, yet again. Third period starts out with a complete shock for the Nevada Battleborn. Freyja Hellström scores easily and makes it 3-0 for his teams favor. With Nevada also doing very dumb stuff like taking penalties, it looks like its over. Vitek Vitecek scores his second of the game on powerplay to make it 4-0 for his teams favor. Despite numerous attempts by Nevada, they cant seem to get past Blunt Man today. It took them 50 minutes to score their first goal, as Vili Tuga’tuga’bo’atu surpasses Blunt Man for the first time in this game with a brilliant shot off the post into the back of the Carolina’s net. Now with 10 minutes to go, Nevada is down with 3 goals, and the Carolina Kraken just play the clock. Nevada couldnt get into Carolina’s zone as they control the game completely. Not even extra attackers can help Nevada, as when the horn sounds, theyve suffered yet another loss. Carolina wins 4-1 with brilliant offensive efficiency display 1030 words, excluding icons ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Posting Freak |
