TOP 5 prospects of upcoming draft - which will be 1st overall pick? [X2 DRAFT MEDIA]

Each season we have few prospects who are fighting for that first overall spot in upcoming SHL draft. Can't lie - sometimes there are pretty obvious leader and everyone knows which player will be selected as a first option in an entire draft, but this isn't that season. And mock draft approves it. We have multiple possible players that could be drafted with first pick.

I wanted to analyse those five players who are mostly picked in a mock draft as first options. The fact that a lot of users think the same thing in this mock draft, doesn't mean that this predicted thing will really happen. Many users just copy paste these predictions from other players. So let's analyse facts, so we can understand which player might get drafted with that legendary first overall pick in SHL S62 draft.

As I mentioned before, we have five players today and they are: Ben Jammin, Paul Koivu, Spack Jarrow, Akashi SixNine Jr. and Scoonie McHits.

Most of SHL users think that Paul Koivu or Ben Jammin will be drafted with first pick. Spack Jarrow is a favourite to be drafted with second pick, but third pick is again fight between Paul Koivu and Ben Jammin. Fourth pick and fifth because are almost the same by everyone - Sconnie McHits and Akashi SixNine Jr. in this exact order.

Before we start, I will remind drat order which we have at this exact moment:
1. Manhattan Rage - Rage
2. Winnipeg Aurora - Aurora
3. Seattle Argonauts - Argonauts
4. Winnipeg Aurora - Aurora
5. San Francisco Pride - pride

Paul Koivu
Paul Koivu is a left wing forward who was drafted in SMJHL S61 draft by Anchorage Armada with second overall pick. Paul Koivu sits at 280 TPE at this moment which isn't a lot. But we have to look at other important imformation aswell. For example, Rage has first overall pick in this draft at this moment. They ended up last season in 19th place in an entire league winning just 9 games in total. They have full four lines with centers and full three lines with defenders. They have two goalies aswell, but only five wingers. Which means, they are desperate to either draft a new winger or trade for one. They need an instant improvement and I'll be honest - Paul Koivu isn't even close to be a leader TPE wise. Paul Koivu is created by IIHF Federation Head and a user who already had a player before - from S47 to S61. He played for Los Angeles Panthers and Atlanta Inferno only his entire SHL career. This is his re-create, so he doesn't have any specific contacts with Manhattan Rage. It's a pretty safe choice to draft this player though. I think he will get better and be a TOP 5 player from this draft class later for sure. I would say that this is a right choice for Manhattan Rage to make, since they have just five wingers. That means they need three more wingers to make four full lines.

Ben Jammin
Ben Jammin is pretty interesting and kinda original name for a player, right? However, he was drafted by Kelowna Knights in S61 SMJHL draft by third overall pick. He is a defender which has 323 TPE at this moment. Defender is always needed for almost every team in SHL, but Rage needs a winger more this time. However, Aurora needs defender and immediately! They have only 3 defenders and I think we all know where this is going. This player is a re-create aswell. This user had a player from S46 to S61 aswell. He played for Edmonton Blizzard and Monteral Patriotes aswell, so there isn't any big possibilities that he might have any specific contatcts just as Paul Koivu. I think it would be only normal if Ben Jammin would end up being drafted by Aurora with second pick. Well deserved and pretty safe pick to make. Aurora has second overall and fourth overall pick in this draft, so I think they won't risk with losing Ben Jammin to Argonauts. They might just take him with second pick, so they don't lose him.

Spack Jarrow
13th overall pick in SMJHL S61 draft by Anchorage Armada. We all know that Armada sometimes provides great players for draft and this is that one season when they have two top prospects in upcoming SHL draft. However, Spack Jarrow sits at 324 TPE at this moment and is one of the best prospects in this draft. But there is a ''but''... Completely new user who joined this league just before S61 SMJHL draft from a Reddit post. I am not sure if he have a chances to be drafted as a first or second overall pick in this draft, but third or fourth pick isn't impossible. Seattle Argonauts own third overall pick and to be honest - they are decent in every position. They are one or two players short with each positions (except goalies) and it will be interesting to see which position they will want to upgrade. Spack Jarrow might go to Seattle because they are in need for a winger for sure. This might help Seattle to get closer to TOP 10 in an entire league next season.

Sconnie McHits
Left winger with 326 TPE at this moment. He was drafted by Anaheim Outlaws in S61 SMJHL draft by fourth overall pick. As I said, Aurora needs a defender. Then they might go for a winger with their next pick, because they isn't stacked with wingers either. Will they go for another defender or winger with their second pick in this seasons first round? Will they keep drafting defenders in next rounds? Hard to say, but I wouldn't say that Sconnie McHits is a safe player to pick by any of teams in this league. Okay, he proved in his first SMJHL season that he is a great player, but... He has no profile picture, no experience in this league or a player before this one. It's a new profile which haven't even posted his Discord name and hasn't even added an avatar to his profile. We all have seen multiple new users who are good in first or first two seasons and then they just lose interest and dip from the league. We can't be sure if this won't happen with him. I have a feeling that Aurora might pick him with fourth overall pick, but I don't know how to feel about it. Good luck to this new player though. Hope he will prove that he is a stud and will dominate this draft class.

Akashi SixNine Jr.
Pride are the team who has fifth overall pick in upcoming SHL draft and they are one or two players short in all positions except goalies. They have three goalies, so we can be sure that they won't pick any goalie in this draft. Probably, haha. Akashi SixNine Jr. has 315 TPE at this moment and he is a right wing forward. Just what Pride needs, right? This might be the safest option to pick in this entire draft. This user is in this league for more than 5 years already. He has five Challenge Cups and two Four Star Cups in total. One time Hall Of Famer aswell! I would say that he is an underdog to go as a first pick. He has chance to be selected first. However, majority thinks that he will go to Pride with fifth pick. Will that happen? We will see. If he will not be selected with first four picks, I'm sure that he will play for San Francisco Pride and help them to get back to the top from that 17th place in entire league.

So, let's make a short resume, wrap-up or call it however you want. People mostly thinks that Paul Koivu or Ben Jammin will go down as a first overall pick and the one who won't be picked first - will be picked third. Almost every person thinks that second pick will be Spack Jarrow, but fourth and fifth - Sconnie McHits and Akashi SixNine Jr. (with no specific order). My prediction? Paul Koivu with first pick, Spack Jarrow with second pick, Ben Jammin with third pick, Sconnie McHits with fourth pick and Akashi SixNine Jr. with fifth mick (might jump to even first pick if gets lucky though).

Chances to be drafted with first pick (in my opinion):
Paul Koivu - 40%
Jack Sparrow - 3%
Ben Jammin - 30%
Sconnie McHits - 10%
Akashi SixNine Jr. - 17%

It might seem weird that Jack Sparrow has that low chance to be a first overall pick, but I think that it might be an actual percentage. He is a guaranteed second pick in this draft. That's, of course, only my opinion. Good luck to him - maybe he surprises me and ends up as a first overall pick. Who knows, right?

Who will be drafted with first pick? Was I totally right or totally wrong? Draft is already today, so we will see it pretty soon. Good luck to all new players in SHL draft. Best of the luck to everyone in upcoming season aswell!
