Another draft class has come and gone and now I have the joy of taking an in depth look at my fellow teammates here in Maine. That is right we are going to be taking an in depth look at the S66 Rookie Class of the Maine Timbers. This is going to include not only the draft picks that Maine selected this past draft but, we will also be taking a look at the newest addition to the Timber's roster.

With the 6th overall pick in the S65 Draft, the Timber went after a player that was not only known for his presence on the ice but, also for his presence in the locker room. Emil Egli, comes in as one of the top athletes in the class and is well known for his ability on both the offensive and defensive side of the puck. The left defenseman excels in his physical play and is a work horse that never seems to get tired. He has been working hard on his offensive ability and looks to be taking advantage of all the extra work with a chance to submit himself as a solid option and leader for the Timber's offense. Look for Egli to be an integral part in the Timber's push for a division title this season.

Coming in with the 28th overall pick in the Draft. The Timber wanted to move back towards offense and that is just what they did by grabbing a player that is all about offense in Nibbles The Squirrel. There are 3 words that can be used to describe the young Right Winger and those words are speed, speed, and speed. The player is all about getting up and down the ice as quickly as possible and will look to use that speed on the top line with the Mads Mcbride to cause all kinds of issues for opposing teams.

With the final pick of the draft the Maine Timber wanted to get the back up and future star between the crease Sir Devoir. A player that is looking to show just how good Pokemon can be in goal. When you look at Sir Devoir's scouting report you can only scratch your head on why that player would have still be available all the way down at pick 37. The young goalie will be playing second fiddle to Adam Rage but, I do not expect any drop off in quality of play.

To round out the S66 class for the Maine Timber we have to look at their latest signing out of Free Agency. Matthew Mayhem is another young Defender that is turning heads. Not only because of his size and physicality but because he is just darn good at hockey. He is a player that will not allow anyone to get near his goalies and that crease is going to stay clear when he is on the ice. It will be fun to track his development with the rest of his S66 classmates but, on paper you could not have asked for a better group of players for the Maine Timber to keep pushing for success.
