Player Progression Director certified cool by trips Back for the 5th rendition of Jay's awards. Let's see who won. Also I'm gonna begin to name some of these awards, for anyone who has been really notable in that category
The Jolmi Koivu "Scaredy Cat" Award S61 Winner: Gabe-Gooney-Waters Harrak S62 Winner: Gabe-Gooney-Waters Harrak S63 Winner: Binko Koivu S64 Winner: Jolmi Koivu S65 Winner: Jolmi Koivu @Good_Ole_Kimmy I think the first ever Jay award that deserves to be named has to be the Scaredy Cat award. Jolmi has blocked a total of 13 shots in his last 132 games, which is honestly impressive. Even the most lucky skaters will have a puck shot at them once in a while. And to top that off, Jolmi still has seasons to play for Colorado. The Highway Robbery Award S61 Winner: Jack Nishimori S62 Winner: Jamal Nightingale S63 Winner: Jamal Nightingale S64 Winner: Jamal Nightingale S65 Winner: Binko Koivu @goldenglutes Binko tied the franchise record for dmen points this season and was a stud defensively too. He took 46 pucks away from greedy opponents and only lost the handle 28 times, good for a 1.6 TA/GA. Elite two way defenseman Binko. The Most Likely to Run a Charity Award S61 Winner: Gonzo Gobbledygook S62 Winner: Jamal Nightingale S63 Winner: Shoyo Hinata S64 Winner: Shoyo Hinata S65 Winner: Ged Sparrowhawk @Poopmonster666 Sparrowhawk had 54 giveaways compared to 27 takeaways this season as a rookie. He played really well offensively, scoring 37 points as a first year defender. The charity just keeps on getting bigger! The Leading Their Team in The Most Useless Stat Award S61 Winner: Jack Nishimori S62 Winner: Zayne Dangle S63 Winner: Jamal Nightingale S64 Winner: Jamal Nightingale/Godwin Lupercal S65 Winner: Evan Winter @RomanesEuntDomus Winter had himself a very excellent season, scoring 34 goals and recording 74 points, which ranked 2nd on the team. He gets to add a Leading Their Team in The Most Useless Stat Award to his accolades now too. The Shoyo Hinata "Biggest PP" Award S61 Winner: Rinky McDangle S62 Winner: Rinky McDangle S63 Winner: Shoyo Hinata S64 Winner: Shoyo Hinata S65 Winner: Evan Winter The second award, that I think deserves to be given a name is the Biggest PP award. Shoyo was a menace on the power play back then. Winter had 26 of his points come off the man advantage, 12 goals and 14 assists. The Peacemaker Award S61 Winner: Gabe-Gooney-Waters Harrak S62 Winner: Max Manning S63 Winner: Shoyo Hinata/Godwin Lupercal S64 Winner: Hynek Heidinger S65 Winner: JR Frankenstero @Punk42AE Frankenstero quietly had himself a career year, almost eclipsing the 80 point mark while sniping 40 goals. He played almost 20 minutes a night and only made 3 trips to the penalty box. Very impressive. The Needs Target Practice Award S61 Winner: Hans Graf S62 Winner: Warrior Enskidou S63 Winner: Binko Koivu S64 Winner: Jamal Nightingale S65 Winner: Binko Koivu Binko shot a lowly 3.6% this season, scoring 8 goals on 220 shots. Honestly if he had been a bit more lucky he could have officially topped the incumbent record holders McFife and Nightingale in points. He will tie for now though. The Nice Stat Award S61 Winner: Zayne Dangle/Shoyo Hinata/Hans Graf S62 Winner: Gonzo Gobbledygook/Shoyo Hinata/Magnus Galtisson S63 Winner: Kayden Pale/Shoyo Hinata/Magnus Galtisson S64 Winner: James James/Vin-Bangsa Wamy S65 Winner: no one I was genuinely excited to see who would get this one. For the first time in Awards history, who have no winner for the Nice Stat Award. Sadge. The Person with the 11st Most TOI on the Team S61 Winner: Eric Tokke S62 Winner: Shoyo Hinata S63 Winner: Evan Winter S64 Winner: JR Frankenstero S65 Winner: Koty Kochan @koty_k Fear not, this award will always have a winner until the team is gone or something. Kochan, Colorado's 1st round pick this year, had the 11st Most TOI on the team at 1099 minutes played. He played a role in both the penalty kill and power play. The First Message Sent on May 12th, 2022 Award S61 Winner: drokeep S62 Winner: tweedle S63 Winner: Jumbobone19 S64 Winner: Jumbobone19 S65 Winner: @micool132 Jumbo had a real good chance at a threepeat for Raptors messaging. However, Micool messaged ever so faster, a Good Morno, to which RED replied No. Micool's morning got rejected, kind of sad. The Jay Alter Ego Award S61 Winner: Shoyo Hinata/Donald Jr. Trump S62 Winner: Kerbal Rais S63 Winner: no one S64 Winner: Jalal ad-Din Afinogenov/Julian Eaglesong S65 Winner: JR Frankenstero Just because you are a monster offensively doesn't mean you get to score all the goals. JR still had a great season though! The Im gonna win the cup Award S61 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII/micool132 S62 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII/micool132 S63 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII/micool132 S64 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII/micool132 S65 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII/micool132 Micool is gonna win the cup The Recently Tired "GOAT" Award S63 Winner: Recently Tired S64 Winner: Recently Tired S65 Winner: Shiny Shuckle @_Blitz_ The final award that will have a name bestowed upon it will be the GOAT award will be the GOAT award. (For those don't know it is the Goalie with the mOst wins And shutouts as of Today award). Shiny Shuckle, who took over the reins as the starter takes this one home. And there we have it! Congrats to all winners. Also since there was no Raptors awards last season, I'm guessing Jumbo is officially recognizing this as the official Raptors awards for S64. Also, on a personal note, I'm happy to announce that I'll be returning to Colorado to help out with the squad once again! Go Raptors
