Icee Richradson possibly ended his time in the SMJHL with no cup in Great Falls. As S76 concluded with a crushing Game 6 loss to Newfoundland, Icee is still isn't signed to an SHL team. Today, the press interviewed Icee after his potential last season in SMJHL.

Q: How was your time in the SMJHL?
A: It was a journey. My first season in the SMJHL was a straight up Four Star Cup with Maine. I looked to raise my cup count before the end of my time in SMJHL, until I was suddenly traded from a contender in Maine, to a decent team in Great Falls. I was also on the USA WJC White Team. I won bronze medal for S75. I don't get why no SHL team is wanting me.

Q: You are currently 4 TPE away from 425, which is the recommendation for SHL teams, can you make it to 425 before no teams officially wants you?
A: I am holding 5 TPE as of right now, and I am looking for money so I can raise it so I can purchase an upgrade bringing me to 425 banked TPE. So, it's a possibility that I reach 425 banked before teams don't want me for sure.

Q: You may come back to the SMJHL for a bonus year, thoughts?
A: I didn't know you can stay in the SMJHL if you couldn't find a team after your time in SMJHL when your still an FA in SHL. But, I mean, I want to play in the SHL, but after the Specters released me, my chances of playing in the SHL decreased by a lot. I wanted to play when I finished S75, but I couldn't and then was released. I'm still looking for a team in SHL, and those who want me, I am a 1x Four-Star Cup champ and 1x Bronze Medalist for WJC. But if I don't find a team in SHL when S77 of SHL begins, I might as well just stay in Great Falls for at least one more season.

Q: I heard you talking about retiring if you couldn't find an SHL team, thoughts changed after finding out about the bonus SMJHL season?
A: Yes, that changes my thoughts. After the potential bonus SMJHL season, I'm going to take 1-3 seasons in the FA market before deciding whatever to retire or not. But, hopefully I'm a decent player signed to an SHL team at S77 so I can play!

In conclusion, IRad hopes he finds an SHL team to play for before it's too late! It will take IRad up until S80 to decide if he's retiring or if he found an SHL team at that time.
