Westley Kirkpatrick and Nathan Cornier, once fierce rivals on the ice, had forged an unbreakable bond off it. Now, as members of Team France, they set aside their past and united for a new adventure. Their destination: Team Rhine, where the future prospects of their beloved French squad awaited. Their drive down the winding coastal road was a testament to their enduring friendship. They reminisce about their days as opponents, the intense battles they had fought, and the respect they had always held for one another. As they approached their rendezvous point, the anticipation grew palpable. They were eager to meet the young talents who would soon join them in representing France at the upcoming international competition in Russia. Westley: “Le hockey n'est pas un jeu facile mais très hardcore où vous pouvez frapper, écraser et balancer. Malheureusement, le football est plus populaire ici en France. Edouard Lavoie, Mia Lavoie, Roquefort Cotswald, and Jacob Maccabees. Mia is doing some mediation in the hot sun. Jacob and Edouard are playing basketball. Real is bird watching but yells out to the others when Westley and Nathan arrive. The six of them sit down and have lunch with wine. While the two give their juniors some advice. Nous allons donc être forts et garder la tête dans le jeu. En même temps, nous allons tisser des liens afin d'apprendre comment les autres coordonnent leurs actions. Par chance, Ed et Mia font partie de la même équipe, alors vous vous connaissez bien. Roquefort et Jacob, c'est la première fois que vous montez sur la scène internationale, alors espérons-le !” The six of them head out to a park to find a place to practice their hockey skills. They begin to get to know each other as Real and Jacob pass the ball to each other. They arrive at a cafe and encounter two other members of Team France, Elena Maximova and Johnny Wagner-Swenson. Westley orders food and drinks for the others as they sit with Elena and Johnny. Elena: “Bonjour et bienvenue dans la jungle ! Je vois que Nate et West vous présentent la vie de l'équipe de France.” Roquefort: “Nous n'en sommes pas encore là. Jake et moi sommes des débutants et participer au championnat du monde junior est à la fois excitant et effrayant.” Elena: “Ne soyez pas nerveux, mais détendez-vous et amusez-vous!” Nathan: “Je me disais que nous étions huit. Nous devrions nous entraîner et il y a un grand espace où nous pouvons nous déplacer librement. Donnez des conseils aux juniors et vous pourrez tous nous donner une nouvelle perspective que nous n'avons pas encore envisagée.” Johnny: “Que pensez-vous du plan de Nate?” Edouard: “Très bien, car j'aimerais mettre fin à la domination de Norden ! Après les éliminatoires, je pense que nous pouvons tous être ouverts à des idées nouvelles en dehors de nos propres équipes.” Nathan: “D'accord, réglons cela. Nous en finirons ici et nous nous occuperons bien de la glace de fond.” The French hockey players finished at the cafe and went to the gym. It was already set up for floor hockey. Nathan already had the place setup and handed everyone their sticks. He grins at the group seeing that the juniors are confused. Nathan: “Il n'y a pas beaucoup de différence entre cela et la glace, mes amis. Ce sera donc Team France vs Team Rhine. Je propose que nous jouions un match à l'heure régulière. Nous verrons ensuite où nous en sommes.” Members of Team France take their position to the left side and members of Team Rhine to their right. They begin their hockey match up practice. As the puck dropped, the game erupted into a whirlwind of speed and skill. The French team, known for their quick passing and fluid movement, darted around the field, creating scoring opportunities at every turn. Led by the dynamic duo of Nathan and Johnny relentlessly tested the Rhine defense. Team Rhine, not to be outdone, showcased their own prowess. Their defense, anchored by Jacob and Roquefort, held strong against the French onslaught. Meanwhile, their offense, spearheaded by the score busters Edouard and Mia, unleashed a barrage of shots on the French goal.Throughout the game, the battle raged on, each team trading blows with equal intensity. The score remained tied, with both teams desperate for a decisive goal. As the final minutes ticked down, Team France made a desperate push for victory. With Nathan leading the charge, they stormed the Rhine net, firing shots from every angle. However, Jacob and Roquefort stand firm, blocking shot after shot and thwarting their opponents' hopes. In a dramatic turn of events, Team France gained possession of the puck with just seconds remaining. Johnny, with his trademark speed and agility, raced up the ice and unleashed a blistering shot that found the back of the net. The crowd erupted in a deafening cheer as Team France secured a thrilling 3-2 victory. As the game came to an end, the two teams shook hands and congratulated each other on a well-played contest. The eight of them then head to a karaoke bar to celebrate their match. Edouard: “Nous jouons un grand match ensemble ! Je sais que j'ai beaucoup appris en étant avec Nate et les autres. Je suis convaincu que nous allons réussir nos tournois internationaux. Attends quoi? Sérieusement non Jacob… Je ne vais pas chanter!” Johnny: “Ed, on ne va pas pouvoir les arrêter ! Alors merci d'avoir passé avec nous. Ce Johnny et Edouard venant en direct de France. Nous vous reverrons bientôt en Russie.
