(GRADED) Deep Dive Into the St Louis Scarecrows

Now that the smoke as settled from the draft and the majority of the free agents have signed with their prospective teams, it is time to take a look at my new home, the St Louis Scarecrows.

Starting out in Net, our Goalie. Evil Kyle Murray wears number 23 and hails from Evil Alaska. This 6’6” 200 lbs wall of a player was drafted by the Scarecrows in the Season 76 draft with the 23rd selection in the 2nd round. He went on to be drafted in the S77 SHL rookie draft in the 2nd round with the 26th pick by the Calgary Dragons Jimmysmo27
The defenders are anchored by Right Defender Jack Booth who sports number 52 . He is from Hamilton, Canada and joined the Scarecrows during Season 75. This 6’5”, 222 pound defender was drafted by the Montreal Patriotes in the Season 76 SHL rookie draft in the 2nd round with the 21st selection. 

Right Defender Cedar Lawson wears number 13 for the Scarecrows. The 6’3” 210 pound defender hails from Owen Sound, Canada. Lawson joined the team after being drafted in the 5th Round of the Season 74 draft with the 62nd selection. 

Left Defender Matthias is a rookie who joined the Scarecrows as their 1st selection in the Season 78 draft. This 6’6”, 270 pound rookie from Alert, Canada. This left defender will wear number 4 as the team takes to the ice for the upcoming season.  In the offseason, they will be a part of Team Canada in the IIHF tournament.

Ozzy Bradford, another rookie from Bath, England will wear number 22. When he requested the number, he said he wanted to wear it as a reminder of the average number of veterans who lose their battle with their demons within. The team management wholeheartedly supported the request made by the youngster This 6’8, 260 pound behemoth of a man was selected in the Season 78 draft with the 13th pick of the 1st round. Ozzy will play for Team Great Britain in the IIHF Tournament.

Right Defender Kato Sova, wearing number 86, joined the franchise during the Season 75 draft where they were selected with the 42nd selection in the 3rd round. The Brno, Czechia native brings their 6’3, 195 pound frame to the ice and looks like a solid player to have protecting the net. Team Czechia will be happy to see Kato on their roster in the IIHF Tournament.

Left Defender Kila Kam is another Canadian who hails from Calgary and wears number 73. This  6’3, 204 pound was selected in the Season 76 draft with 55th in the 4th Round. They will skate in the IIHF for Team Canada.

Wingers
Left Winger Alexa Johansen will anchor the Forwards for the Scarecrows in the upcoming season. Alexa will wear number 16 as she, once again, takes to the ice for St Louis. This San Diego, California native is 5’10 and weighs in at 176 pounds. Alexa was selected by the Scarecrows in the Season 75 draft with the 2nd selection in the 1st Round. She was later selected, once again with the 2nd selection in the 1st round, to play for the Edmonton Blizzard in the SHL.

Right Winger Scar Bealey is another American on the team who hails from Buffalo, New York. This 6’3” 225 pound winger will wear number 68 in the upcoming season.  After being selected by the Scarecrows  with the 25th selection in the 2nd Round, Scar went on to  win a Bronze Medal as a part of Team USA White in the Season 75 World Junior Championship. Scar will continue their career with the New Orleans Specters, at some point, after being selected in the 3rd Round with the 51st selection in the Season 76 SHL draft.

Left Winger James Madison hails from Port Conway, USA and wears number 4 as well as Mathias. James is on the smaller side as he is 5’4” and weighs only 150 pounds. James was selected in the Season 74 draft by the Scarecrows with the 32nd selection in the 3rd Round. The Seattle Argonauts were impressed with what they had seem and selected James with the 50th selection in the 3rd round in the Season 75 SHL draft.

Right Winger Nathan Abel is from Houston, Texas. This 5’10, 210 pound force will wear number 12. Abel will play for Team USA in the IIHF Tournament.  This free-agent signing will bring his wealth of experience to the team.

Right Winger Louis Belanger, from Montebello, Canada will wear number 44 as he takes to the ice in the upcoming season.  This 6’2”, 215 pounder joined the Scarecrows as a Free Agent and was selected in the Season 77 SHL draft by the New England Wolfpack with the 7th selection in the 1st round. 

LW Emile Dionne, another Canadian, hails from Quebec, Canada. Emile, a 6’2”, 198 pounder will wear number 98 for the upcoming season. The Free Agent was selected in the 3rd Round, with the 52nd pick in the Season 77 SHL draft by the New Orleans Specters.

Right Winger Viktor Vaughn will sport number 66 as the Boston, Maryland native will be skating again for the Scarecrows. The 6’1”, 220 pounder will be a part Team USA in the off-season IIHF Tournament. 

Right Winger David VanHousen-88 was the final pick for the Scarecrows in the Season 78 draft. This 5’10”, 160 pound native of Aberdeen, USA will wear number 88 for the upcoming season.

Centers
Supreme Dalek from Cardiff, Great Britain will anchor the 1st line with their 6’0”, 218-pound frame, as he sports number 91 on his jersey. Dalek with play for Team Great Britain in the off-season IIHF Tournament. Dalek joined the Scarecrows as a part of a trade after being selected in the 4th Round of the Season 74 draft with the 45th selection by the Colorado Raptors.  

Mason Chernezky, another Center for the team, is from Medicine Hat, Canada. Mason will wear number 10, the number he has worn since being selected in the Season 76 Draft in the 11th round with the 201st pick. This 5’11”, 170 pounder will play for Team Canada in the IIHF Tournament.

Final Analysis
The St Louis Scarecrows will start the season with a veteran goalie, 6 defenders (2 are rookies) and 10 Forwards (1 is a rookie) which provides them with an excellent mix of youth and experience. This high-spirited team will be fighting in every game they are a part of. No matter the outcome of each encounter, the Scarecrows will win or lose as a team and the season will be a success, or a failure for all who wear the jersey of the St Louis Scarecrows!
