Alas, my "hot take" seemed to have upset the hockey and simulation gods as they cast down a cruel spell to knock the Battleborn out of the playoffs. This is really disappointing to see as I am of the belief that this team could have done some significant damage and made a deep run. I was especially looking forward to matching up against the Maine Timber in the conference final. Alas, that reality is only a dream as the Battleborn must bid farewell to many of their great players. With NBB losing their 2nd best fighter (Bamford) it will all be on me in order to carry the brand on my back (fists) and defend the team from any chirps that are not bird noises. Jess is retiring and I wanted to give a big shoutout to her as she has been instrumental on keeping me active within the SHL. As a GM in another sim league, it is not always easy to balance out working on other players in other leagues as you are so dedicated to the team you care so dearly about. From one GM to another I appreciate all of you who take the time and effort to GM these teams, Jess especially. 

Looking forward I'm excited to see what Nevada can do during my last season with the team. I was taken third to last in my draft, yes really third to last. Shoutout to everyone skipping on me. (To be fair a bug occurred and I wasn't approved until minutes before the draft someone, guess that's what I get for trying to name my player Dixie Rekt). With this chip on my shoulder, I hope the team can come together and make one great run. I think we have the depth to do just that, and that Nevada has put out some quality users especially in my class. Hopefully there are more fights to come, aggression stock going up bb.
