SMJHL HO Some Guy Living in Mountain Time The votes are in and the time has come to announce the S79 IIHF Tournament Awards. Before we get to the individual awards, we'd like to thank Team United States and specifically Philadelphia for hosting us this season.
The S79 IIHF tournament was incredible! With only 6 points seperating the top team from the 13th team in the tournament it couldn't have been closer. Both pools needed tiebreakers to determine the medal round teams. Speaking of medals, we saw Canada take home the gold medal for the second tournament in a row. Latvia won silver for their first medal since S46. In third, we saw Switzerland capture the bronze medal. Switzerland returned to the podium after two seasons. Congratulations to all three teams! Now onto what you've all been waiting for. The individual awards. There were many amazing players that took the stepped it up on the international stage. A few stood taller than the rest.
