Good afternoon SHL!
Early this morning, prior to the Day 17 sim of the regular season, it was discovered that the file used for the Day 16 sim was an incorrect version which did not include any team’s updates from this past weekend. The correct file was obtained, and in accordance with past precedent, Head Office ruled to re-sim Day 16 with the correct file. This re-sim was completed this morning at 11:37 AM, prior to the Day 17 sim. This was communicated to GMs prior to the re-sim taking place, and is being posted here for full transparency now that we are all done with our work obligations for the day (apologies for the six-hour delay on announcement, weekdays are often very busy). As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me on the site or on Discord. Have a great remainder of the season! On behalf of SHL Head Office - Jess

Thanks guys... You're not even the only team this happened to in this resim, let alone in history.

I hesitate to make sweeping statements because I’m sure something would happen to prove me wrong, but when the other options are as bad as they are (skipping a whole week of updates for everybody in the league, or pausing simming altogether until the filework team can do a whole cycle of updates on the file that was incorrectly used), almost definitely.

Got it, just trying to figure out what to expect in the future, appreciate the response.

"Wrong file" issues like this have always gotten a re-sim for as long as I remember. It's usually only cases like a single player's update or missed goalie swap that don't get re-simmed, since the impact they have is negligible and take longer to re-sim, since the simmer would have to force results. This feels like the right call.

I was talking to one of the big producers up north and he said that they had a regular season up there. We were done by the middle of April, but they finish up in the first week of May. They tap usually on March 20th, so about a month after us down here in Central Maine.
