S80 MTL Late Season Look

Well once again I am really broke and in need of some shekels in order to afford that good weekly training as I will now have to rely on the mediocre one until this gets graded. But, I also love to look at my team and see how we are faring in the league compared to everyone else in both the standings and in TPE wise. This season we made some moves as I want to say MTL has officially ended our rebuilding phase. Sadly, we are in the East, so life is hell. What I mean by that is that the East is loaded with good teams with a lot of talent and veteran talent at that. While I am unfamiliar with the sim we use here in the SHL I imagine there is some form of "veteran boost" or something that gives older players an edge in performance despite having slightly lower TPE than they did at their peak. I think this factor is something I failed to take into account in the previous media I have typed up in which I truly believed that the Pats would climb up this year to finally make the playoffs. Now we still have a chance to make it, and a good one at that. The Pats have 11 games to go and play a rough schedule to finish out the year. The final stretch features 2 matchups against TBB, a meeting with the reigning champions from San Fransico, and 3 games against a Buffalo team that sits in the top 10 in the league's standings. So, in short it will be a battle for the Pats to make the playoffs once again. Some moves were made but a huge loss was incurred as some factors lead to the loss of the elite earner JFK and the Pats definitely felt it this season. Sitting last in the conference will hurt morale but I think that the Pats have another season, more likely two if I'm being honest, before people start to worry if the rebuild will work. I am optimistic we can make some sort of run. We brought in pieces like Patey V2 and called up Vice who have both been solid for the Pats. If we regroup after the rally of losses we incurred I think we have a chance. The big thing for us will be the next two games as they feature matchups against WPG and MIN, both of whom are sitting at the bottom of the standings (side note: holy hell the West is so much easier :sadgers: ). I will make sure to follow up as we near the conclusion of the regular season. Hopefully it won't be another month of no games for the fellas and lasses in maroon.
