Deep Dive #2, Analyzing the S82 Tenders

S82 draft class is the biggest draft class in recent years, so let’s analyze some on the S82 goalies, not all of them, because there are a lot of S82 goalies.

There are 19 total goalies part of the S82 draft class, but I’m only going to cover the regular season stats of what I think are the top 5 S82 goalies that are currently part of a team (sorry to all you beautiful FA’s out there)

-Jonny Hockey-

Jonny Hockey has, arguably, one of the best rookie goalie performances. Jonny Hockey was selected in the 3rd round, 37th pick by the Anchorage Armada. After their other goalie, Linus Ully, decided that  they were too cool for the J, Jonny Hockey became their started, and Jonny Hockey did not disappoint. Over 42 games played, Jonny Hockey emerged with a 16-20-4 record with one shoutout, a 3.67 GAA and a 0.900 sv%. Jonny Hockey also had the 7th most saves and the 7th best sv% out of all the active goalies in the SMJHL

-Kj Daniels-

After being selected in the 5th round with the 79th pick, Kj Daniels has a very impressive season with the Newfoundland Berserkers, proving that they should have been drafted higher. Kj Daniels finished the season with a 9-8-0 record, a 3.5 GAA, and a 0.877 sv%, helping the Berserkers in their dominant regular season.

-George Danske-

After being selected in the 4th round with 60th pick by the Maine Timber, George Danske proceeded to go on an absolute tear, dominating the J. Along with his co-netminder, Travis Coates, George Danske helped the Maine Timber secure the first seed in the southern conference. George Danske finished the season with a 23-11-0 record with 1 shoutout, a 3.21 GAA, and a 0.899 GAA. George Danske had the 8th best GAA and the 10th best GAA in the league, as well as the 6th most wins.

-Victor Bjork-Pejlikka-

After being selected in the 5th round with the 75th pick, Victor Bjork-Pejlikka had an amazing rookie season with the Ottawa Highlanders, proving his potential and his reliability. Victor Bjork-Pejlikka had a record of 14-5-2, recording a singular shoutout. He also finished with a 2.93 GAA and a 0.898 sv%. Victor Bjork-Pejlikka had the 4th best GAA in the league

-Yuri Satoshi-

Last but certainly not least is Yuri Satoshi. Yuri Satoshi was drafted In the 4th round with the 58th pick by the Kelowna Knights. Yuri Satoshi finished with a 23-8-0 record with one shutout, a 3.17 GAA, and a 0.989 sv%. Yuri Satoshi helped the Knights secure a top 3 seed in the northern conference, 2 points shy of the top seed. Yuri Satoshi has the 7th best GAA and the 9th best sv%.
