![]() Registered Member It's me again! Welcome back to the Nevada Battleborn Team Awards, now with first hand experience! The powers that be have entrusted me with the honor of relaying this vital information to the SMJHL, and I will happily do so. ![]() ![]() Defense isn’t typically people’s first choice when they start playing. After all, hockey is about skating fast and scoring goals! What they don’t tell you is that defensemen can do that too, and so much more. These are the true unsung heroes of our great game, and this award recognizes the greatest defenseman of the year. The nominees are as follows:
Armani Dove - Right Defense | @Gallade081
66 Games Played | 5g, 11a, 16 pts | 129 Hits
Arvinder Singh - Right Defense | @Bingo97

Orr 2.0 - Right Defense | @Heppis
66 Games Played | 6g, 19a, 25pts | 53 Takeaways
Your Winner Is… Arvinder Singh!
![]() ![]() There are many ways to lead, some more effective than others (looking at you, Michael Scott). These players stepped up and took the team culture into their own hands, and each left a lasting impact on the locker room. With special notes from me this time around. The nominees are as follows:
Claude L’Castor | Beavie
In her first year as Captain, Beavie didn’t hesitate to do everything in her power to drum up locker room engagement and make the rookies feel comfortable. Whether it’s posting box scores, giving build advice, or just making conversation, if the Battleborn LR has a new message, chances are it's from Beavie, and it's always worth reading.
Harland Sanders | ColonelSaunders
I can’t really talk about myself in the third person, but I will say a couple things. It is an honor to be nominated for this award. I surprised myself with my initial engagement in the LR, and to varying degrees I have tried to maintain that activity, thank you to my teammates for making it easy <3
Oskar Svenguard | Bluedog25123
Though he started quiet, Bluedog found his bark and in recent weeks has become a force in the locker room. Conversing in many channels across a variety of topics, I am happy that he is being recognized for the draft steal he was. He has truly earned the 1st rounder status that he received, and will be a great young leader for this Nevada team.
Your winner… Beavie!
Congratulations to our winners, now presenting the S82 captains!
Alternate Captain: Harland Sanders | ColonelSaunders
Alternate Captain: Oskar Svenguard | Bluedog25123
