EEL Set to Invade NWJHL this Season!

In shocking news today it was announced that certain EEL players will be allowed to play in the upcoming NWJHL season.

Rumor has it that NWJHL Commissioners were forced to make this call after a lack of top quality prospects signed up for this NWJHL season.

We spoke with several NWJHL players and they are happy to play with the EEL players, something they would not normally be able to do.

Sam Slade specifically had these comments:

`I think it is exciting, i mean they have lots of talent and being foreign we can learn alot, culture, languages and much more, so I think it will be a great experience for us because i think there will be as many EELers as NWJHL prospects this season.

I hope i can play with some of these guys and help them transition to the North Americian game.`

When asked about playing time Sam Slade said he wasn`t worried and he was sure the NWJHL commissioner had things in hand with those types of negotiations with teams and the EEL commissioner.

Sam Slade also mentioned he was happy that the season will be able to start shortly after both the NWJHL then the EEL entry drafts as it has been a long off-season.

`I`m glad we can get started with the NWJHL season shortly, it feels like it has been a long time since we played and it will be exciting to hear your name being called on draft day and then shortly after that lace up your skates for some NWJHL action.

It`s also a great time for all NWJHL players and it makes those of us moving on the SHL next year that much more valuable because the EEL players i don`t think are eligible meaning next years SHL entry draft will be smaller and SHL teams will have to make really good draft picks.`
