Jamers Both is only 8 regular season games into his young career in the SMJHL. He had a great preseason, leading his Detroit Falcons team with 6 goals, 5 assists, and a +6 rating in 10 games. He was put on the second line with 2 other rookies Kein Monesti, and Saoul Commeunebotte. 10 and 4 points respectively in the preseason, both +6 as well. Their youth and energy really provided a boost to the team in the preseason and got their confidence up to start the season off on the right foot.
Jamers started off the regular season pretty hot with 3 goals and 3 assists in the first 5 games, but the well has run dry lately with no points in his last 4 games. It has been pretty apparent that Jamers has been pressing and over-thinking the game the past few games. You can tell the pressure to score is upon him because of his early success in the league. He has never played at this level or with any really substantial organized teams. Below is a picture of Jamers attempting to wind down and relive some stress while fishing during an off day. Like those gloves didn't smell rank enough already...PeYew! His recent point drought hasn't cost his Detroit Falcons team yet, as they have won 4 of their last 5 games and are sitting atop the East with a 5-3 record and the second best goal differential in the league behind the Knights whom they have yet to play. 5 of their next 8 game are on the road where the Falcons have had the most success so far. They are looking to put an even bigger lead on the rest of the East in the coming weeks to take control of their destiny on their road to a S16 Championship. Number of words: 306
