The end is nigh in the SHL as the four horsemen draw near. Well there will be one team that is safe from their rath as the horsemen call Manhattan home. But who are the horsemen of the apocalypse you may ask? Death, Famine, Pestilence, and War also known as Keflezighi, Stryfe, Mars the Third and Ravchitikov. The future top 4 defense for the Manhattan Rage have the makings of monsters written all over them, it is true they are still a season maybe two away from seeing their true potential; however I doubt anyone can doubt the capabilities of these talented defenders.
Death – Keflezighi I looked, and there before me was a pale horse. Its rider was named death, and Hades followed close behind. The “old man†in the group has is the obvious choice for Death for many reasons, the leader to the other three defenders, he is the emotional anchor to the defense in Manhattan and has been for a long time. Not only is he a true leader for his teammates, but he is tough as nails to play against. He will take them out with a booming hit whether it is legal or not, what does he care he is Death. War = Ravchitikov Perhaps the most gifted of the four Horsemen is Ravchitikov, he will be the one who collects all the hardware for the team. His strength isn’t in containing the opposition; instead he wishes to be the lynchpin in the offense causing his own destruction from the blueline forward. Owning a cannon of a shot he is terror personified and he will cause havoc to others as they try to find ways to shut down this offensive supernatural force. Famine = Stryfe While he is anything but starved this giant will keep his opponents off the score sheet all night. The goal scoring droughts caused by his hand will become at thing of legend as he uses his big body to create headaches for the other team all night. Don’t be fooled he is not the guy who is going show up on the score sheet very often, but he will be known by the opposition. Pestilence = Mars the Third Just when teams have thought they had enough enter the final rider pestilence, a sickness spreads across the opposition as he denies opportunity after opportunity to score. Another defensive specialist Mars the Third is the perfect member to complete the dynamic new defense in Manhattan. The power house is known for throwing the big hit and just giving the opponents another way to reach the medical ward. Now we are not fools here in Manhattan, we don’t believe that tomorrow the team will be the one to beat, but we do recognize the talent growing here. The exciting part, the part that will be on the minds of the SHL for seasons to come, the backbone for the Rage moving forward will be centered on these incredibly talented defenders. With the key components in place the Rage now look to the final pieces of the puzzle to complete the rebuild and become a contender once more.
