Hello everyone, it's Bernard here ready to answer your questions. I'm new to the league and hoping to be on a team soon so I figured I'd let y'all get to know me and hopefully generate some interest. Ask me anything!

I grew up watching the Montreal Impact so being able to play for them would be a dream come true. I know that I'm going to be happy wherever I end up though. Wherever I'm drafted to, I'm going to do my best to put myself into a situation to help myself and the team. As for what I'm most excited for, it's gotta be the possibility of being able to do what I love in front of fans. Playing for my high school team was fun and all but I have a feeling like it won't be able to compare to true SMJHL fans. I don;t really like to set expectations for myself and I try to just focus on the next game and play the best I can that night. The league has been pretty great so far. Everyone is very kind and helpful with helping me try to figure everything out

Q.If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be and why?

A: Definitely a tiger. No one messes with tigers.

Q; How would you compare your player to a current NHL player?
A: I see myself as a more offensively gifted Ryan McDonagh

Q:What are your thoughts on Greece?
A: They done messed up.

Q:Who will win the Four Star Cup this season?
A: Whatever team I get drafted to.

Q:Can you explain your username?
A: Just a random thing I came up with as a kid which has stuck with me

Can you give use a little background on yourself?
A: I grew up in a small town. I come from a family of ex-players (some of them still play) so I was exposed to the game at a very early age. Growing up around the game allowed me to become better then my peers and I quickly grew into the best kid on my local team. I was recruited to private high schools but decided to stay with my local public school and lead them to 4 consecutive NJHS league titles.
Where did you play last season?
I played for my local high school team, Waldwick High School.
What kind of player do you describe yourself as?
I'm a good two way player who loves to get involved in offense. I'm a strong skater with a good shot and good defensive instincts.
Why the SMJHL?
I chose the SMJHL because no matter what team I get drafted to I know they're going to give me a great opportunity to succeed. They're all top notch clubs.

Q:How are you preparing for the draft?
A: I'm trying to get stronger in preparation for the league. One of the biggest challenges that I've seen young prospects facing when they first enter the league is the inability to play tough against stronger guys. I want to be able to win the battle along the boards and be able to clear the crease need be. So lots of time in the weight room in addition to the normal hockey training I do.

Q:Any teams you see yourself being a good fit on?
A: No matter where I go, I'm going to do my best to improve the team in whatever role I can. I don't really have a preference to what team I'm drafted to; although I will admit it's always been a dream of mine to play for the Impact as they were my favorite team growing up. Wherever I end up I am going to improve the team in whatever capacity I can though.

Every week or so, the media updaters will post the media payout for that week (look in the thread for SMJHL media payout that should be pinned), and they will deposit the cash into your bank account to spend.
