It is with shock and sadness that I announce the sudden retirement of Detroit Falcons Co-GM Vsevolod Nikitin. Due to unforeseen circumstances that were undisclosed to myself or anyone else, Nikitin has decided to retire from the SHL. He was an invaluable asset to me, with his extensive research on the sim engine and line combos and strategies, and was also an excellent scout. He was also a very positive presence in the locker room, and a great team leader. I still don't know how I got the GM job over him, but it was an honour working with him this season. Nikitin will be greatly missed and I hope that whatever struggles he is currently going through pass by quickly, so that regardless of if he rejoins the SHL or not, he may live a life that fulfills himself and those close to him. At this time I will not be looking for a new Co-GM, I will fly solo (of course I have my players to guide me) until the offseason, when I will begin the search for a new Co. There will be no open application process. I have three shortlisted candidates who will be contacted and will make my decision accordingly.

Also, I know it's not happening in this thread but I'd like everyone to lay off him for not keeping his player around. Yes, it sucks, but ultimately that's his decision and IRL issues take high priority over a fake player in a fake league.
