Starting Line-ups

Gustav Hans-Mohrs – Marc-Andre Malkin
Michael Ryan

Mammoths
Sim Browski - Dickie Pecker - John Jeeples
Sludge - Jörgen Dåhlssen
Jacob Andrews</div>

1st Period

Tonight was not a good night to take a penalty, as four of the five goals were scored with the advantage as both team’s power play was in top form. These two relatively evenly matched team traded chances in the first with the Scarecrows having the slight advantage in shots on net, however it was Colorado coming out with two quick goals, first Richie Pecker scored his first of the season, our lone 5 on 5 goal of the night, then Antoine Vietto scored on the power play, putting the Mammoths up 2-0. However later in the period the Scarecrows rallied back with a goal of their own on the power play cutting the deficit to 2-1.

2nd Period

The Scarecrows put on a clinic in the second period allowing a measly 2 shots on net by the Mammoths, who just did not live up to their name offensively and the Scarecrows kept coming, scoring another power play from Dos Diablo, his second of the night. After two periods the Scarecrows has outshot the Mammoths 19-10, 8-2 in the period and had clawed their way back into the game. However at the end of the period we could see the Mammoth coach yelling at his players, so expect them to come out strong next period. Scarecrows: 2, Mammoths: 2

3rd Period

The Mammoths this time came out like beasts outshooting the Scarecrows in the final frame 13-10 and showed they wanted it more, however Sludge took a silly penalty and while his coach glared at him in the box, the Scarecrows made short work of the power play as Marc-Andre Malkin scored his sixth of the year, putting the Scarecrows up for good. Though the Mammoths tried to come back another silly penalty near the end of the game by Sim Browski sealed their fate. Final Score: Scarecrows: 3, Mammoths: 2.

<div align="center">Halifax Raiders vs Prince George Firebirds

Starting Line-ups

raiders
Alexander Sorensen - Taystee Poussey - Jack Dabkowski
Benjamin Fraser - Ace McCardle
Richard C. Hocolate

Firebirds
Jussi Ruutu - Nicolas Winter - Bennett Jones
Barack Obrana - Hunky Monkey
Michael McFadden</div>

1st Period

Halifax came out strong and aggressive, out shooting Prince George, but also taking some needless penalties which stifled their offensive attack, however it was impressive they took 3 out of the 4 penalties in the period and still managed to out shoot Prince George 8-5. However, in the end neither goalie could be beaten we went into the second period with a tied game. Interesting stat here folks, both starting goalies tonight have a losing record, so it will be interesting to see which one can come out on top.

2nd Period

In the second period Halifax was more disciplined and Prince George took 2 out of the three penalties, which proved costly as Mike Ross scored his fourth of the season to put the Raiders up 1-0. Once again, Halifax outshot the Firebirds 7-4 in the period and it was hard to tell if it was Halifax’s defense or the Firebirds lackluster offense that was resulting in the Firebirds only having 9 shots on net over 2 periods. However, i suggest you keep an eye out for Nicolas Winter, he is a play-maker specialist and could turn this game around with one pass.

3rd Period

In the third period Halifax went back to its aggressive style of play taking all three penalties of the period, while Prince George’s offense finally began to come to life as they put 11 shots on net in the period. However, it was not enough as Halifax scored on the empty net with less then a minute left, then scored another 30 seconds later. Scoring was Mike Ross, his second of the night and William Hendrickson, his fourth of the season. Richard C. Hocolate was stellar all night and deservingly so, was named first start as he recorded a shutout in just his 5th game of the season.
