The Seattle Riot have many names up for captaincy this year, making the choice very difficult for GM Michael Abdalla and Co-GM 701. Guys like Trevor Wilson, Gunnar Rask and Viatcheslav Orlov starting to take on big roles on the team, veteran presences like Jack Burton, Patrick Brumm, Cameron Urbowicz, David Benson and Dean Colt. Even new comer Jed Lloren has been making waves as a possible candidate, but in the end, there could only be a select few that have the honour of representing their team as the official leaders!

We kick things off with the man who will wear the A for all away games this season.

This man has been a huge part of the locker room in Seattle, he has also been a valued member in the scouting department and has given some helpful input on the lines and strategies. His player is a young player looking to enter his prime soon, and just came off a rookie season that saw him have to take major cuts in ice time for the good of the team. To add to all these qualities, he has even switched positions and taken it upon himself to work on face-offs, in order to help fill a 3rd line centre man role for this season. He has taken a ton of heat from the members outside the Riot family, and has dealt with it so extremely well, that I cannot think of anyone better to deal with the boos of the away fans, and feed off of that and help boost our team to over come it!

Next we move on to the player who will be wearing the A for all home games this season.

This player has been one of the most loyal members of the Riot in recent years, he seems to have been a part of the organization forever now, and yet has not even reached a season of regression yet. He is a veteran presence in the locker room, and has consistently been one of the top point producers on the ice. This season, he will even be trying his hand on the blue line as requested by the head coach, and we have complete faith that he will be one of the top puck moving defenders in the league! He's a fan favourite here in Seattle, and that is why we chose him to be our assistant at home!

Next we move to our primary assistant captain

We chose this player to be our assistant captain for all he brings to the team on and off the ice. He has been one of our most important players on the ice since joining the team last season, and has been one of the most vocal guys in our locker room. He brings qualities to this years' team that are hard to find in Seattle, and for that he has been asked to take a role as a forward, and we are hoping to see high goal scoring production from him this year! He has also been helpful with line management and strategies when called upon, and has been a great voice of the Riot across the boards.

Our primary assitant captain is PATRICK BRUMM <a href='index.php?showuser=1627' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-10'>probablydrunk</a>

Finally we move on to this seasons CAPTAIN!

There is really no surprise here, most would probably have guessed this seasons captain before even opening the thread. He has been the face of the Seattle Riot franchise for as long as one can remember. His player is the corner stone of the Riot defense, and even though he is highly under-rated around the league due to not being the flashiest defender, the Seattle Riot know he is one of, if not the most valuable player on the ice. Off the ice he is a great member of the locker room, and has been a huge hand with line management, scouting and consulting in the management department.

For the 2nd year in a row, the Seattle Riot captain is JACK BURTON!
