JSS: Ladies and gentleman, scouts, SHL general managers and most importantly, fans of Flacko Lagerfield...welcome! Welcome to my client, Flacko Lagerfield's pre-draft press conference. My client and I are very excited to get this underway. The way this is going to go down is pretty simple to understand, you give my client questions and he answers them. Let's begin.

Flacko Lagerfield: You on the right si-.

JSS: Oh, wait a minute Flacko. It'd be pretty rude to our guests here if we didn't give ourselves an introduction right? Anyways, for those that don't know already. My name is JSS and to the right of me is Flacko Lagerfield, he's my client and he's one of the most highly touted prospects for the upcoming SHL S41 draft. I think that's a pretty good introduction Flacko, what do you think?

Flacko Lagerfield: Can we just sta-

JSS: Flacko Lagerfield's pre-draft conference is now underway. Let's see which reporter has the honour of being the first to ask a question...hmmm. Yes, you to the left. Go ahead! Make it count!

Interview

: Flacko, I'm going to start with a pretty basic question here. What are your expectations heading into the draft?

JSS: I said it make it count. I don't know man, pretty regular question you just gave. I was expecting some special question you know? Anyways, Flacko...the mic is yours.

Flacko Lagerfield: Mind my agent guys, he's just nervous and isn't acting like himself today, TV time is expensive so he wants to fit as much as he can into as little time. Anyways, to answer your question...I don't really have any expectations heading into the draft, really I don't.

Interview

: Do you mind elaborating on your answer?

Flacko Lagerfield: Sure, sure, yea I'll elaborate. What I mean is...I have no idea where I'm going in the draft, I don't know where I'll be drafted to, what team will I play for. I'd like to tell myself that I'm going to be a top 5 pick, but I don't really know. I have some doubts, I could fall out of the top 5, heck...I could potentially fall out of the first round. It's hard to say. Is this an answer you were expecting?

: Not really, but it will do. Flacko that's all I got, good luck with the draft!

Flacko Lagerfield: Thank you, I really appreciate it. Next question! Reporter on the left side of the room with the black shirt...Yes you! Go ahead!

: Mr. Lagerfield, have any GMs or scouts reached out to you yet?

Flacko Lagerfield: Yea obviously, I think every draftee is going to get at least an email or two from a scout or general manager.

Interview

: Now, how many general managers reached out to you and what kind of questions did they ask?

Flacko Lagerfield: Well, about 5 GMs have reached out to me as of right now. Me and my agent also tried getting a hold of all GMs that had yet to reach out to us through emails. Out of those 9 GMs we reached out to, about 3 have answered back and I actually had some great conversations with each of those 3 general managers. As for the questions, ummm...it's really been some basic questions really. What kind of player do I want to be, what are my goals, how long am I planning to play, do I want to play for their team. "Average Joe" type questions, you know?

: Is there any teams in the SHL that you hope you don't get drafted to?

Flacko Lagerfield: I'm open to playing for any team, if a team wants me on their team...I want to be apart of that team.

: Your answer is greatly appreci-

Flacko Lagerfield: It's hard to properly judge a team when you're so new to this. I haven't really done my homework for teams in the league so I can't really give an educated answer to which teams I want to play for and which teams I absolutely do not want to play for. You feel me?

: Ummm...yea. Thanks for the response.

Flacko Lagerfield: Let's move on to our next reporter. The person in the black polo in the back, you can go ahead.

Interview

: How much will you be gunning for for your first SHL contract? That's all I got for today Flacko, good luck in the draft!

Flacko Lagerfield: I'm a team player, I want to do what's best for the team. Me and my agent will be asking for a minimum contract for my first contract.

Interview

: May I go next? I got a couple questions, they're not related to the upcoming draft though. Is that fine with you and your agent?

JSS: Go ahead

Interview

: I got a couple questions so bare with me Flacko. First question, how happy are you with your rookie campaign? How has Detroit been since being drafted by them? What are you goals for next season Flacko? How many years do you intend to play in junior? Anything you'd like to achieve before playing your last game in the juniors? What are you plans for the off season? Thatâ€™s all of it, good luck Flacko!

Flacko Lagerfield: Coming off my rookie season, I donâ€™t think it couldâ€™ve gone better if Iâ€™m being honest with myself. I finished with 25 points in 50 games which was good enough for 2nd in rookie scoring and I also finished 1st among all rookies for most goals with 14, not bad for a 20th overall pick, eh? Detroit has been great, the atmosphere among the players in the locker room is great. Iâ€™ve met some great people here in Detroit and I wouldnâ€™t wish to be somewhere else. My goals heading into next season huh? I havenâ€™t really thought about it but Iâ€™ll say 50 points and maybe an award or two. Yeah, those are my goals heading into next season and as for how many more seasons do I intend to play in Detroit...I don't know, that's going to be up to the general manager that drafts me. To answer your last question now, I'd like a four star cup and an MVP award before leaving Detroit and as for my off season plans...I'm going to head back to Chicago after the draft and relax for a bit and then start training to prepare for the upcoming season.

: Can you give a quick run down on your opinion on some other draftees? Have you spoken to other draftees?

Flacko Lagerfield: Some of the other draftees aren't that social so I haven't spoken to as many as I would've like, however off the top of my head, I've had a couple conversations with...Lightning Jones, Reginald MacIntyre, Alex Andani, Xavier Paquette, Kristaps Ball and Kata Vilde. They're all nice and they're all going to be great players in the future and really fun to play against or with.

: Now what about teams, how about you give a quick run down on some teams?

Flacko Lagerfield: I'm not really the type of guy to do this, but I guess I can...don't expect some controversial opinions though.

Stars

I know a couple guys there like Richard Physt and Mikhail Lokitonov and I would love to play in Toronto, but I don't think I'll end up there.

Rage

A rebuilding team...unlike some draftees in the past, I am actually more than open and would be happy to join a rebuilding team like the Rage. There's something about potentially leading a team in rebuild mode that just excites me. You get me?

Panthers

I don't really know much about them, but I'll play there if they draft me...again I don't think I'll end up there. Me and my agent tried reaching out to them a couples day ago and if I remember correctly, they have yet to send something back.

Riot

I'm not opposed to joining the Riot, I've spoken to the general manager of the team and he said that it's doubtful I fall to their pick, but we'll see.

Jets

Management there has yet to respond back to me and my agent so again, so I can't really judge them.

Dragons

They actually responded back! I had a great conversation with their general manager and I'd love to play in Calgary.

Platoon

I spoke with their general manager, nice guy, I wouldn't mind playing in West Kendall.

Wolfpack

Great team, great management, I've heard great things about them. I really hope they pick me if I'm still on the board when they're drafting.

Stampede

Hell yeah I'd love to play here. I know the management, they got the first overall pick and they're going to be a powerhouse in the future, the real question is...who wouldn't want to play here?

Chiefs

I had a brief conversation with their general manager...nice guy though I don't think I'll end up there.

Renegades

I've been talking with one of their general managers a lot, they got a nice thing going up there in Texas and I'd love to be a Renegade, they have the 10th overall draft pick as of right now so who knows...maybe I'll end up in Texas on Monday night.
