BAN CW

Never forget the time the SHL playoffs and and NSFL playoffs aligned together

so we ended up getting 2 CW's in the same week

Theres 1 thing in here i read that sounds interesting which is this free writing to earn TPE.....maybe adding some topics and grade tpe by word count. the higher the word count the more tpe can be earned with a max of 6 tpe to gain. that could be something we do. Is that something that everyone likes?

My suggestion would be to not replace CW with a single task that will get boring again after a while, but with different projects that change and rotate on a seasonal basis. This would essentially give the league 15 TPE per season to use on whatever they see fit - be it experimental tasks, one-time events or side-wide activities, it could be used on all kinds of different things.

Maybe some of you remember the Team PTs we had way back in the day, where every team was asked to work to work on certain tasks or write a big article together. They were a lot of fun and really helped people bond, but also required quite a bit of work so people grew tired of them quite quickly. So just for one season we could have one of these, then to make up for it have something easier next season. Maybe it's time for the real-life NHL playoffs or the world cup, so let's have a bracket based thing around these events. Then for the next year, why not let the current CW return for a season? If you give people a little break from CW then they might actually be excited to do it again after a few seasons! After that, maybe a side-wide project where everyone works together on certain ressources that help the league as a whole, like recruitment materials or by updating the history section? Then the next year maybe it's time for something crazy like a Discord-based PT? Then a PT-Collaboration with another league after that? And maybe then it's already time for the next Team PT? And so on, and so on, just try different things, rotate tasks and have the payout be around 15 TPE every year, even if the workloads might differ a bit.

i love things like this...there out of the box ideas... but with the CW the further you move off the straight road the more chaos it creates.

We could also change the timing of the whole thing by the way, it wouldn't always need to be at the same time of the season, maybe some tasks would be bound to specific times (start of the NHL playoffs) whereas others (like the Team PT) could run the whole season, giving teams ample time to work on their submissions.
