The breath of a new season is nice isn't it everyone? Plenty of new faces and optimism and enthusiasm to go around for miles! It has been a great pleasure to be with the lions and I have been given the opportunity to showcase our team voted captaincy for the Lethbridge Lions inaugural S45 Season! 

Let's start with the one and only Jøln DuBølk @MCP_!

This towering Swedish defensive defenseman is a mountain on and off the ice, from his kind words to his on ice leadership you would be hard pressed to find a nicer guy! We all miss those off season donuts bud! I got a chance to ask him about getting the "A" in his rookie season and this is what he had to say: "I feel very excited! It is my belief that I'll be on the lions for at least another year, so getting involved with the team like this is very cool."

And next up is none other than the Latvian Queen Eva Lykke Aparjode @Jogurtaa!!

With a team full of young talented European players Eva has come out on top as the voice from the East. She is not scared of speaking her mind and she definitely knows how to light a fire under everyone's ass to get them worked up! The locker room wouldn't be the same without her and is a treat to have her as the other Assistant Captain! 

"It is great to know that the team management and players have gave me the honor to be Assistant Captain. We are a young team and we have so much to learn still."

Last but certainly not least we have the captain of this young guns team: Monkey D. Luffy @TnlAstatine!!

Humbled by the players choice of captaining the Lions in their inaugural year, Luffy tends to lead with his hard work and dedication on and off the ice. On the ice with his quiet demeanor and focused play, and off the ice trying to steer the group in the right direction be that with training or making sure nothing is forgotten about. Lets hear what he has to say.
"I know the season hasn't started the way this team wanted, but we are a young and hungry group. The more we play the more we will learn and grow and be able to use that to move forward. I'm sure we'll be at the top in no time. I have infinite faith in this group of players!"



Let's see what these rookies can do while at the helm of the Lions! Maybe all the Lions needed was a fire to be lit, and just maybe these individuals will be the start of that fire. If anything a little bit of leadership doesn't hurt. We can only wait and see what the future has in store. Let's get that bread lions! Thanks for reading about the Lethbridge Lions Captains!
