The survey about the simulation SHL Expansion Draft S46
I did ask several members to be a part of my Simulation game and we made 4 Expansion Draft and that also mean I had 8 members with me for that. Before I start to show you how went the Drafts I must clarify that I did the file work before we had christmas and also with those rules they were at this time up. So that means you was be able to pick just two players per team in the whole Draft. If the member have already a player in the SHL and was S43 or older he would take this player with the first pick. For the lists I was looking just for the activity and TPE. NTC were auto-protected because how I should know who did waive his NTC and who not. Sometimes also for friends if I knew some facts about that. So if there are some names unprotected dont blame me please. I really was serious on that hell of a work. The last draft was done on 9th January but after that I had some hard work in the company and also I had a illness over 2 weeks. Now I was able to do this article and be happy to show you all now my work and the fun of the members they were part of this whole thing. I made 4 Groups and of course I will start with the first one. 1st Simulation SHL Expansion Draft Group: Expansion Team Flames1848 vs Expansion Team jRuutu this means jRuutu got automatically the 1st OVA because his player must be auto-picked with the first pick. Flames1848 had the Pick number 2 and 3 because the SHL Head Office told us it will be a snake draft and that means to me you has 2 picks in a row. Flames1848 did choose Isak Ödegard and Max Weber. With them he has a good Defender duo on the team. jRuutu did then select GOD McZehrl and Jordin FourFour (wasnt retired at this moment). So he has his player Ensio Kalju, GOD McZehrl and FourFour. That means the two youngest/best defender with TPE and age, but also the best available goalie at this time. Flames1848 did pick then Hocolate and Alexander Zajac. So he also did pick the very first forward and it was Zajac. That was very interesting. Hocolate is very old and on the end of his career. Back to jRuutu who did pick Woodcoft and Langabeer so two forwards. Then Flames 1848 was ready for pick Dekens and Bananerström. Back to jRuutu with this next two picks. He selected Reginald MacIntyre and Enqvist. Flames1848 again and with the picks in Spitfire and Kyler Gill. Now jRuutu with two very interesting picks in Harvey Danger and Adam Taylor. Danger is a good asset for the 2nd or 3rd Line defense and Adam Taylor is a hot blue chip prospect. Back to Flames1848 and his two next picks. He did decide to pick Svatoslav Bodnar and Romualds Loks. Bodnar is here maybe the best available asset from Seattle. Now jRuutu again and he goes still on a young trip with Alex Andani and Vladislav Konstantin. Flames1848 on the other side selected Paddy O'Sullivan and Inari Twain. Back to jRuutu with his next two picks. His decisions were Sven Brokstad and Muhammad McLovin. Now Flames1848 with his very last two picks. Casey Creller and Rurik Razion were his choice. Finally the very last pick of the draft in the hand of jRuutu and he did pick Patrick Brumm Jr. Flames1848 his Team: (S36) D - Isak Ødegård -1633 - active - SFP (S32) D - Max Weber - 1435 - semi - WPG (S29) G - Richard C. Hocolate - 818 - active - CGY (S36) LW - Alexander Zajac - 1140 - semi - HAM (S40) RW - James Dekens - 668 - semi - MAN (S37) LW - Blåbär Bananerström - 667 - semi - TOR (S35) D - Spitfire - 1260 - semi - WPG (S38) RW - Kyler Gill - 614 - inactive - SFP (S38) D - Svatoslav Bodnar - 655 - semi - SEA (S39) LW - Romualds Loks - 840 - semi - TOR (S39) LW - Paddy O'Sullivan - 692 - semi - WKP (S36) RW - Inari Twain - 636 - inactive - SEA (S36) D - Casey Creller - 1145 - semi - CGY (S33) RW - Rurik Razin - 519 - inactive - MIN Average TPE: 909 jRuutu his Team (S40) D - Ensio Kalju - 964 - active - EDM (S40) D - GOD McZehrl - 1109 - active - BUF (S35) G - Jordin FourFour Jr. - 1108 - active - BUF (S38) RW - Joshua Woodcroft - 920 - active - LAP (S33) LW - John Langabeer - 999 - inactive - HAM (S41) D - Reginald MacIntyre - 867 - active - MAN (S41) C - Mattias Enqvist - 755 - semi - LAP (S42) D - Harvey Danger - 666 - active - TEX (S43) Right Wing - Adam Taylor - 512 - active - EDM (S41) C - Alex Andani - 671 - semi - NEW (S43) Right Wing - Vladislav Konstantin - 453 - active - TEX (S37) D - Sven Brokstad - 954 - semi - WKP (S41) LW - Muhammad McLovin - 640 - semi - MIN (S39) D - Patrick Brumm Jr. - 480 - semi - NEW Average TPE: 793 Conclusion: We can see that Flames1848 came right before this Expansion Draft back and made some interesting decision. I believe if we would do today a redraft we would have two totally different teams. Jruutu was be able to take an advantage from that and did land a really good young team in my opinion. 2nd Simulation SHL Expansion Draft Group: Expansion Team MP7 vs Expansion Team O4L This means MP7 has the first overall and must take his own player Maximillian Wächter and O4L will have the first two pick in a row. She did select GOD McZehrl and Aleister Cain. With McZ she got the best TPE/Age player in this draft and also the best Goalie Prospect in Cain. Now MP7 was on the clock and he decided for Isak Ödegard and Reginald MacIntyre. Ödegard is the best available TPE player in the draft and MacIntyre is a rising defender star with a lot of potential. Back to O4L and her next two picks. Tony Pepperoni and Andrew Martin were her choices and with this two blue chip prospect you cant do anything wrong in my opinion. Now MP7 is again and he took Woodcraft and Alex Zajac. So two more really competitve forwards for this team. On the other side O4L with Harvey Danger and Kevin Kazarian two more high potential prospects. Back to MP7 and his next decisions with Jordan von Matt and Petr Vrana. So younger and potential players. O4L decided then for Boris Denisovich and Ignatius Blunt again for two young players for a good fresh start. MP7 was on clock and took Atmey and Creller. So he took again two competive players for his Expansion team. Back to O4L and in Karsten Kadinger her first player who is younger than S40 and Alex Andani. MP7 picked then Romualds Loks and Yannik Berger. Back to O4L and Spitfire and McLovin with her two next picks. With Spitfire she did picked her oldest player and he is a S35 player. So now we were very far at the end of the Draft of Group 2. Bodnar and Brumm Jr. were MP7 his third and second last choices. O4L her two last choices were Pivonka and Akmenlauks. And the very last pick by MP7 was Yelkrab. MP7 his Team: (S27) LW - Maximilian Wächter - 1159 - active - LAP (S36) D - Isak Ødegård - 1633 - active - SFP (S41) D - Reginald MacIntyre - 867 - active - MAN (S38) RW - Joshua Woodcroft - 920 - active - LAP (S36) LW - Alexander Zajac - 1140 - semi - HAM (S42) D - Jordan von Matt - 635 - active - TOR (S43) G - Petr Vrana - 459 - active - SFP (S32) LW - Luke Atmey - 1515 - semi - BUF (S36) D - Casey Creller - 1145 - semi - CGY (S39) LW - Romualds Loks - 840 - semi - TOR (S39) C - Yannick Berger - 774 - semi - MAN (S38) D - Svatoslav Bodnar - 655 - semi - SEA (S39) D - Patrick Brumm Jr. - 480 - semi - NEW (S40) RW - Kire Yelkrab - 560 - inactive - MIN Average TPE: 913 O4L her Team: (S40) D - GOD McZehrl - 1109 - active - BUF (S43) Goalie - Aleister Cain - 383 - active - EDM (S43) Left Wing - Tony Pepperoni - 632 - active - EDM (S43) Right Wing - Andrew Martin - 576 - active - HAM (S42) D - Harvey Danger - 666 - active - TEX (S43) C - Kevin Kazarian - 502 - active - TEX (S42) RW - Boris Denisovich - 490 - active - WKP (S43) LW - Ignatius Blunt - 504 - active - WPG (S39) D - Karsten Kadinger - 842 - semi - WKP (S41) C - Alex Andani - 671 - semi - NEW (S35) D - Spitfire - 1260 - semi - WPG (S41) LW - Muhammad McLovin - 640 - semi - MIN (S43) Center - Pavel Pivonka - 381 - inactive - SEA (S43) D - Helmuts Akmenlauks - 284 - semi - CGY Average TPE: 639 Conclusion: In the Group 2 we can easily see that MP7 is looking for a run with his rental player and O4L with his recreate a fresh new start of a Franchise. It was a very interesting Expansion Draft and I believe both won in their ways. 3rd Simulation SHL Expansion Draft Group: Expansion Team LukeTD vs majesiu Expansion Team Both must select their players with the first auto-pick and then majesiu won a lottery to become the 1st OVA and did pick GOD McZehrl. Luke his first choice were Reginald MacIntyre and Aleister Cain. So this was an amazing start from both with their picks. Back to majesiu and his next two picks. He took Harvey Danger and Dank Boija. Back to Luke and his decision with Kazarian and Woodcraft. So it still a good start from both. Kazlauskas and Andrew Martin were majesiu his next two choices. What for steals here at this positions. Luke was very mad but I must say both were back and forth really shocked about this very similar draft goals. Karsten Kadinger and Metcalf Jr. were Luke his next picks. Jordan von Matt and Ignatius Blunt on the side of majesiu. Back to Luke and his two next picks in Casey Creller and Yannick Berger. Now back to majesiu and his two next choices. Alex Andani and Boris Denisovich were his choices. Luke decided for two older stars in FourFour and Spitfire. Hocolate and Loks were majesiu his two choices. McLovin and Bodnar on the other side from Luke. The last two picks from majesiu were Toivanen and Cosco. The very last pick of this Expansion Draft was Patrick Brumm Jr. LukeTD his Team: (S43) Left Wing - Luke Thomason - 680 - active - SFP (S41) D - Reginald MacIntyre - 867 - active - MAN (S43) Goalie - Aleister Cain - 383 - active - EDM (S43) C - Kevin Kazarian - 502 - active - TEX (S38) RW - Joshua Woodcroft - 920 - active - LAP (S39) D - Karsten Kadinger - 842 - semi - WKP (S43) RW - Richard Metcalf Jr. - 452 - active - SFP (S36) D - Casey Creller - 1145 - semi - CGY (S39) C - Yannick Berger - 774 - semi - MAN (S35) D - Spitfire - 1260 - semi - WPG (S35) G - Jordin FourFour Jr. - 1108 - active - BUF (S41) LW - Muhammad McLovin - 640 - semi - MIN (S38) D - Svatoslav Bodnar - 655 - semi - SEA (S39) D - Patrick Brumm Jr. - 480 - semi - NEW Average TPE: 765 majesiu his Team: (S41) RW - Piotr Czerkawski - 956 - active - EDM (S40) D - GOD McZehrl - 1109 - active - BUF (S42) D - Harvey Danger - 666 - active - TEX (S43) Right Wing - Dank Boija - 548 - active - HAM (S43) LW - Gvidas Kazlauskas - 598 - active - LAP (S43) Right Wing - Andrew Martin - 576 - active - HAM (S42) D - Jordan von Matt - 635 - active - TOR (S43) LW - Ignatius Blunt - 504 - active - WPG (S41) C - Alex Andani - 671 - semi - NEW (S42) RW - Boris Denisovich - 490 - active - WKP (S29) G - Richard C. Hocolate - 818 - active - CGY (S39) LW - Romualds Loks - 840 - semi - TOR (S43) Defense - Veikka Toivanen - 303 - semi - SEA (S43) Goalie - Nathan Cosco - 222 - semi - MIN Average TPE: 638 Conclusion: Both teams are young and very balanced. Except the backup Hocolate, S29, the youngest player is from S39 with Loks so its so far the youngest Expansion Team. Luke oldest player are Spitfire and FourFour with S35. Very interesting Teams in my opinion. 4th Simulation SHL Expansion Draft Group: Expansion Team Confusion vs Slashcam Expansion Team So both must save their players in Fedor Schirobokov, Confusion, and Aleister Cain, Slashcam. Slashcam won in the lottery the first OVA and he took GOD McZehl with the first overall. Confusion was on the clock with his first two picks. He picked Isak Ödegard and Luke Atmey. Back to Slashy and his first two picks in a row. Ensio Kalju and Max Weber were his choices. Spitfire and Brett Kennedy were the next picks by Confusion. On the other side Slashy with Paddy O'Sullivan and Yannick Berger. Back to Confusion and he selected Hocolate and Woodcraft. Winter and Dekens were Slashy his to next choices. Confusion decided to pick Alex Zajac and Carter Manning. Back to Slashy and his two next picks. Jordan von Matt and McLovin were his targets. Back to Confusion and his two next choices with Casey Creller and Andrew Martin. Harvey Danger and Patrick Diehl were Slashy his next two choices. On the other side were Sven Brokstad and nathan Cosco the decisions by Confusion. The last two picks by Slashy were Orlov and Twain. And the very last pick in the 4th and last Group was Bodnar. Confusion his Team: (S35) D - Fedor Shirobokov - 1236 - active - SFP (S36) D - Isak Ødegård - 1633 - active - SFP (S32) LW - Luke Atmey - 1515 - semi - BUF (S35) D - Spitfire - 1260 - semi - WPG (S34) C - Brett Kennedy - 1032 - semi - TEX (S29) G - Richard C. Hocolate - 818 - active - CGY (S38) RW - Joshua Woodcroft - 920 - active - LAP (S36) LW - Alexander Zajac - 1140 - semi - HAM (S39) C - Carter Manning - 753 - semi - TOR (S36) D - Casey Creller - 1145 - semi - CGY (S43) Right Wing - Andrew Martin - 576 - active - HAM (S37) D - Sven Brokstad - 954 - semi - WKP (S43) Goalie - Nathan Cosco - 222 - semi - MIN (S38) D - Svatoslav Bodnar - 655 - semi - SEA Average TPE: 990 Slashcam his Team: (S43) Goalie - Aleister Cain - 383 - active - EDM (S40) D - GOD McZehrl - 1109 - active - BUF (S40) D - Ensio Kalju - 964 - active - EDM (S32) D - Max Weber - 1435 - semi - WPG (S39) LW - Paddy O'Sullivan - 692 - semi - WKP (S39) C - Yannick Berger - 774 - semi - MAN (S43) LW - Philipp Winter - 652 - active - LAP (S40) RW - James Dekens - 668 - semi - MAN (S42) D - Jordan von Matt - 635 - active - TOR (S41) LW - Muhammad McLovin - 640 - semi - MIN (S42) D - Harvey Danger - 666 - active - TEX (S33) G - Patrick Diehl - 197 - inactive - NEW (S30) D - Viatcheslav Orlov - 747 - inactive - NEW (S36) RW - Inari Twain - 636 - inactive - SEA Average TPE: Conclusion: On the one side Confusion did pick the best Expansion Team and the other side Slashcam did pick a very balanced team. We saw so surprise decisions but that is one of the reason why I did that. To see how they would think about their Expansion Teams and what they would do for that. At first I want to shootout a huge thx to all my Simulation Expansion GMs who were available and I hope they had a lot of fun. Maybe I will do this in future also for Rookie Drafts. I dont know but never say never. Again for all they look just for the drafts but not on my words what I did write before. I did this file on 21th December and since that we had many of different trades and also some waived NTC. So I hope you can understand that the protection list is very different to the original one. Thx for your understanding. The same is about the activity status. I know some more are now inactive but others came back and are now active or semi-active. Also they thx for your understanding. Oh and the same with the TPE count. I really hope you enjoy the surveys because I know you dont enjoy my english :( I did also not update all the Rookie they were send down, also sorry for that! Also not included are all retirements after the 21th december like FourFour. 2712 words @jRuutu @Flames1848 @majesiu @O4L @MP7 @SlashACM @Confusion @LukeTD S46 SHL Expansion Simulation Draft File

It was a nice experiment at the time, happy you were able to make an article out of it. Interesting how vastly different teams look like now that draft is done.
