![]() ![]() Scoring Summary
1st Period:
1. Lethbridge Lions , Arsene Arsenich 9 (Joln DuBolk 22, Roger Baston 14) at 17:40 (SH) ![]() ![]() The Lions struck first late in the first period, though it was not expected at all because of the fact the Montreal Militia were on a powerplay at the time when Jay Boom'Boom went to the box for interference. Either way Roger Baston was able to force a turnover, getting it to Joln DuBolk who then served it on a platter for Arsene Arsenich for his 9th of the season, surprising everyone with the play. 2. Lethbridge Lions , Mister McCarty 1 (Dinars Briedis 6, Jay Boom'Boom 6) at 18:31 ![]() ![]() Lethbridge scored shortly after the shorthanded tally, and it was Jay Boom'Boom himself starting things off with a great pass. He sent it out to Dinars Briedis who was able to make a sweet pass to Mister McCarty for his first goal of the season, putting the Lions ahead 2-0 in the first. 2nd Period: 3. Lethbridge Lions , Austin Roenick 9 (Cant Eykhil 11, Arsene Arsenich 7) at 1:15 ![]() ![]() Early in the second period it seemed like the Lions were out for blood, putting up a 3-0 lead as Arsene Arsenich scored his second point of the game, setting up Cant Eykhil for Austin Roenick's 9th season goal. At this point the Lions were rolling. 4. Montreal Militia , Mason Hudson 13 (Hans Zucker 5) at 6:23 ![]() ![]() Finally Montreal was able to get something going offensively, and it would be Mason Hudson with his 13th goal of the season from Hans Zucker to get the Militia at least in the conversation for winning this game. 5. Montreal Militia , Keegan Angello 6 (Marc Hagan 7, Commander Shepard 10) at 7:44 (PP) ![]() ![]() The Militia seemed to be getting outplayed at this point, but a fortunate penalty by Eva Lykke Aparjode allowed the Militia to get on the powerplay and put something together. They ended up doing just that, when Commander Shepard sent it to Marc Hagan and had Keegan Angello finish it off for his 6th goal, putting the Militia to within one in the game. 6. Lethbridge Lions , Benois Minuscule 1 (Austin Roenick 9, Arsene Arsenich 8) at 13:53 ![]() ![]() The Lions were not to be shaken in this one, however. Arsene Arsenich continued to be dominant and registered another assist sending it to Austin Roenick for Benois Miniscule and HIS first goal of the season as well. With time running out in the second the Lions were putting themselves in a good spot. 7. Lethbridge Lions , Boruvka Banananak 6 (Dinars Briedis 7, Mister McCarty 1) at 19:34 ![]() ![]() Lethbridge wouldn't be done in this period, because Mister McCarty would register his first assist of the season, getting it to Dinars Briedis who sent it to Boruvka Banananak for his 6th goal of the season. At this point the Lions were in a stranglehold of this game with a 3 goal lead and only one period left to play. 3rd Period: 8. Montreal Militia , Griffith Cadwalader 4 (Kristoffer Svensson 18, Chuck Crutchfield 15) at 14:19 (SH) ![]() ![]() The Lions were given even more opportunities to make this game embarassing, as Pavel Pivonka was sent to the box for hooking. However Montreal turned the Lions powerplay against them, as Chuck Crutchfield sent it off to Kristoffer Svensson who gave it to Griffith Cadwalader for his fourth of the season. Unfortunately for Montreal they would not be able to convert again and it was too little too late, falling to Lethbridge 5-3. Three Stars of the Game 1st - Arsene Arsenich ![]() 2nd - Mister McCarty ![]() 3rd - Austin Roenick ![]() |
