Tracking Spreadsheet SHL S49 Game 282 - MIN @ TEX SHL Game 282 Advanced Taterlytics Report: Posessor: Buck Maverick @timeconsumer Team: Minnesota Chiefs Victim: The Dude @Dude Team: Texas Renegades Time: 18:09 of 1st period Total possession time: 18:09 Hot po-take-to: After sweating through the past night hoping he wouldn't turn into a random marsupial Buck Maverick came onto the ice fully human. However, this stress has taken it's toll on the 3rd pair defenseman. He was skating around the ice with the sole intention of hitting someone. However, with The Hot Potato weighing him down he wasn't able to move very quickly. He was able to block a few shots by simply passing by the net. But near the end of the first period Buck was able to catch The Dude leaning over the boards filling his White Russian and laid a hit onto him spilling his drink into the bench and onto his coach. SHL Game 282 Advanced Taterlytics Report: Posessor: The Dude @Dude Team: Texas Renegades Victim: Artemi Berezin @drodger91 Team: Minnesota Chiefs Time: 2:38 of 3rd period Total possession time: 24:29 Hot po-take-to: The Dude was extremely upset that his drink was spilled onto coach Dankoa since "he really pulled the team together". ![]() He then skated around asking various Chiefs where this guy "Buck" is but didn't have the chance to have the lines match up for a full period. After discussing his options with his teammates in the second intermission, The Dude came out for the media interview and stated there is "Strikes and gutters, ups and downs" and wouldn't sweat it. And sure enough, his first shift of the 3rd period led to him passing The Potato over to Artemi Berezin. ![]() SHL Game 282 Advanced Taterlytics Report: Posessor: Artemi Berezin @drodger91 Team: Minnesota Chiefs Victim: N/A Team: Texas Renegades Time: N/A Total possession time: 17:22 Hot po-take-to: With The Hot Potato going back to the Chiefs, Artemi clearly decided he wanted to hang onto it. With the exception of 2 shots, the winger hadn't done much today. He was able to rip off one more shot that went wide of the net but that was all in over 20 minutes of ice time. Minnesota got out with a nice 3-1 win. Lets keep watching and see if The Hot Potato brings luck to Artemi or if it just weighs him down. SHL S49 Game 291 - MIN @ LAP SHL Game 291 Advanced Taterlytics Report: Posessor: Artemi Berezin @drodger91 Team: Minnesota Chiefs Victim: Max Mauldin @Wasty Team: Los Angeles Panthers Time: 10:06 of 3rd period Total possession time: 50:06 Hot po-take-to: Well sure enough, The Hot Potato claimed another victim. Many hockey players have routines ahead of games. Some do crazy complex handshakes, others have to be first (or last) on the ice, and some never wash their socks. Well Artemi seems to have really embraced The Potato. While he was seen entering the arena, Artemi missed warmups today. When asked about his absence his coach gave no comment. However, SHLSportsNet received this leaked image of what is reportedly a shrine Artemi made for The Potato and was found in trance in front of it. ![]() His teammates were able to get him to come to again and Artemi joined his team on the ice for the beginning of the game. But he was wearing sunglasses and a blue jacket that looks like it came from the 80's. His skating style was also extremely odd and he seemed to be the most active when there was music playing. Berezin was even able to pot one goal during a well timed congo beat by the PA announcer. ![]() However, halfway through the 3rd period Boombastic by Shaggy came on and Bernie Berezin was taking beeline for the net and clipped Max Mauldin. This caused The Hot Potato to transfer to Max and Artemi seemed to re-emerge from a fog. SHL Game 291 Advanced Taterlytics Report: Posessor: Max Mauldin @Wasty Team: Los Angeles Panthers Victim: N/A Team: Minnesota Chiefs Time: N/A Total possession time: 9:54 Hot po-take-to: With less than 10 minutes left in regulation, Max seemed to be in Chill mode for the rest of the night. After a few aborted lane changes shots, Max gave up and went to the bench for the remainder of the game. Will he also catch The Potato bug? There are rumors of a fix, but the last ETA was "3 days maybe, 6 days definitely". I guess we'll all just have to wait and see. |
