So during the season I checked out how I did each game, and it looks like I did a lot better towards the end of the season, even though I was pretty bad. So here are my notes on a game by game basis. I tried to let out my thoughts on each game and how I did, so hopefully it is as entertaining to you guys as my draft article was!


Game 1 (STL @ DET): Lackluster game. Only two shots and no points. At least I didn't commit any penalties. Also 3 minutes of powerplay time and no goals. At least I didn't allow any goals when I was out there.

Game 2 (STL vs MTL): More of the same. I got two more shots. I won a faceoff which was good. Only played 12 minutes this game which was worrying.

Game 3 (STL vs MTL): Still no points, which super sucks. Lost one faceoff out of one, and played 14 minutes in this one. On the bright side, I was +1 on this one. So that is improvement, right?

Game 4 (STL @ MTL): Woo! I finally scored a goal and got a point! Only took me four games, but still. Also was +1. I also had a couple of hits, which I never get because I'm such a little guy. Woo hoo! What a great game. Thanks to Sasha-Alexei Smirnov and Cameron Urbowicz for getting me my first goal. Couldn't have done it without you guys!

Game 5 (STL vs MTL): Another goal! What a run I am making here! Also got an assist on a goal, too! Way to bury one Smirnov! Also thanks for the assist from both you and Cameron. You guys are really good at hockey and I appreciate it! Two points on the night is my career high. Also more hits! I am a hitting machine out there!

Game 6 (STL vs DET): Back to bad games. First minus of the season which really sucks. 3 shots which isn't bad but no goals or points! What happened, Smirnov? We lose and you don't set me up for a sweet goal? Boo.

Game 7 (STL vs MTL): Got an assist at least. No goals, boo. Lost my only faceoff, so I should probably stop playing center and stick to getting sweet passes. Got my + back in this one so that is a positive. Not much powerplay time. Why am I not playing on the powerplay a lot? I have noticed this has been happening a bunch and I don't like it.

Game 8 (STL @ MTL): Bah, why am I so bad? I am glad we won but I didn't get any points! I gotta get points if I want to be MVP! This is no fair at all! One shot, too? Why am I not getting set up for passes and stuff? I should be getting more than 13 minutes a game, too.

Game 9 (STL vs KEL): Ouch. Lost this one, and I was once again off the score sheet. What a joke. I should be better than this. Only one shot, but I played 4 minutes on the power play? How did that happen? We must really suck. Boo.

Game 10 (STL @ KEL): Big win on this one, but where are my points? No points again! Come on! I did get a plus 2 at least. Also took my first penalty of the season. I hooked the guy because I am so slow apparently.

Game 11 (STL vs KEL): We got kill this game. I didn't have any points, again. Only played 10 minutes? Huh? Maybe if I played more I would have had more shots and we may not have gotten killed 5-1. Not cool at all.

Game 12 (STL @ KEL): Oh my god. I didn't think we could play any worse, but 7-0? Dear lord. Again no points and this time I hit my all time low in +/- with a -2. What the hell. We really had no chance in this one. Three shots, but still no goals since game like 3. I'm on a huge drought.

Game 13 (STL @ VAN): Lost again. Not good, guys. We can do better than this. I did get an assist, but still goalless in 10 games. Get it together, Banana! One shot? Nooo, this won't do at all.

Game 14 (STL vs DET): We won 7-4 which is really good, but I only got one measly assist and was a minus 1! That's not 11 games without scoring a goal, and what good am I if I can't score any goals?

Game 15 (STL @ DET): Lost this time 5-4, and this time I didn't even get a single point! Was minus 1 again, and now its 12 games where I haven't even scored a goal! Why am I only playing 13 minutes out there? Shouldn't I be playing more?

Game 16 (STL vs KEL): Ugh, we sucked in the third period of this one. Tie game after two periods and they scored three goals and I couldn't score again! No points, and minus 1 for the third straight game! 13 games without a goal! At least I played 16 minutes, but for what? No goals again? God I suck!

Game 17 (STL @ VAN): Well, we won a low scoring game, which is nice. But I didn't score (14 games now) and I got a minus 1 for the fourth straight time. Almost played 17 minutes, too! I am going to get benched if I keep this up. I don't know what the problem is because I thought I was doing well at first!

Game 18 (STL vs DET): Another win, which helps us in the standings, but no goals. That is 15 games. At least I got an assist and was plus 1 this time. Only three shots again. Seems to be a standard thing for me to only get a few shots and no goals. Depressing.

Game 19 (STL @ REG): Another win, that makes three in a row. But no goals, no points, three shots. 16 games running and no goals. This is the worst thing ever. At least I'm a plus 1 on this one.

Game 20 (STL vs REG): Kill them 7-1, so four game win streak going! Again no goals! Only one assist and three shots. Is this sim broken or something? I keep getting the same number of shots but no goals. I thought my scoring being super high meant I would score a lot! That's what they told me! 17 games without a goal! Please let me score once!

Game 21 (STL @ DET): Winning streak is over. Lame. No goals, no assists. Only one shot this game. My shooting percentage much be like zero right now. Ugh. Someone help me get better.

Game 22 (STL vs MTL): Won this game in overtime. Even with the extended time I only played 14 minutes and didn't score. Also I just noticed I got bumped to the third line! What? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Game 23 (STL vs MTL): Scoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooored! Steak over! Yay! But we lost. That sucks. Maybe put me back on the second line again? Pretty please?

Game 24 (STL @ MTL): Won the game, but didn't get any points and was a minus 1 again. The streak without a goal begins again at one. Hope it doesn't last long.

Game 25 (STL vs MTL): Lost again. No points, no goals, and minus 1 again. Only got two shots too. Get me off the third line! Ugh! Two games without a goal!

Game 26 (STL @ MTL): We have been playing Montreal a lot. This is weird. No points, no goals, and minus 1 once again. Stop getting minuses! I am doing horrible! Now that I am on the third line I am only getting two shots in a game.

Game 27 (STL @ VAN): We got killed in this game. No goals, which extends the streak to 4. Oh look, minus 1. So apparently if your defense is low then you will get scored on a lot. Who would have thought? Ouchies.

Game 28 (STL vs VAN): Got killed again. Vancouver is pretty good, I guess. At least this game I wasn't a minus 1, but I didn't get any points and it's been 5 games with no goals! This stinks!

Game 29 (STL @ KEL): Good win, but not for me. Same game as before. No impact, positively or negatively. No goals in six games, and I am getting annoyed. Stupid third line production. No wonder I was drafted so late!

Game 30 (STL vs DET): Lost again, and I didn't get any points or pluses or minuses or anything. 7 games with zero goals. Am I going to score again this season? Didn't even get a shot on net this game, either. I would say I am a bust but I didn't even get drafted high! Lame!

Game 31 (STL @ REG): Won a high scoring game. Looks like my minuses are back. Minus 1 this game. No shots on goal. Played 15 minutes though. Was I put on the second line? Nope. Bleh. I gotta do better than this. Someone set me up for a goal with my crazy awesome shot!

Game 32 (STL vs KEL): Lost this one. But I scored! The drought ends again! And then I scored a second time! Two goal game for me! I am awesome at hockey! Two goals on 4 shots. Great percentage! Come on, put me on the second line, now! I am totally going to keep scoring from here on out!

Game 33 (STL vs REG): Destroyed these guys. I scored again! And again! Another two goal game! Way to go, me! Also was a plus 2! Can I be stopped for the rest of the season!? I don't think so! I'm going to be amazing for the rest of the season, just you watch!

Game 34 (STL @ VAN): Ouch. Lost this one bad, and I didn't score. That sucks. Ew, and I was minus 2! Gross! Don't worry, I am sure I will bounce back! Just an off night!

Game 35 (STL vs VAN): Got crushed again by Vancouver. Season is getting close to over and we aren't doing very well. No points. Minus two again? Ugh. Maybe we just stink against Vancouver or something. That is probably what it is. No big deal.

Game 36 (STL @ REG): Won again, which is pretty good. I'm back to not scoring, though. Two shots, and zero goals. I even played 15 minutes too, but nothing doing. Perhaps I need to rethink this "all in scoring" strategy. Maybe that is the problem?

Game 37 (STL vs REG): Lost to the Force. No points, so back to not being an offensive contributor. Darn. Five shots, but doesn't matter because I didn't score. Gahhh.

Game 38 (STL @ MTL): Damn, 7-3 win! And I scored again! Go me! though it was the last goal scored so it didn't really matter, but it made me feel better! And I was a plus 3, and I think that was the best I have done so far. Thanks Bursyuk and Pentecost for setting me up! Maybe I will get 10 goals this season!

Game 39 (STL vs VAN): Lost in overtime. Nuts. No points again! Minus 2 again! Baahhhhh! One more game until the playoffs so I gotta get in gear, here!

Game 40 (STL @ MTL): Hey! 9th goal of the season in a 7-4 win! Plus I got an assist so I got two points in the last game! Plus I was a plus 2! This is a good sign for the start of the playoffs! Here we go!


Playoffs!

Game 1 (STL vs MTL): No goals, but we won game 1 and I got an assist! Plus one, too! Good start for us and for me! But I would like to score, thanks.

Game 2 (STL vs MTL): Boom, crushed! 6-2 win! And I had two goals! Look at me go! Playoff monster?

Game 3 (STL @ MTL): Man, 7-6 game? Ridiculous! I got two goals in the win too, and I scored the goal to tie it in the third period! Way to go, us! We are rolling and we could sweep this one! Keep it up!

Game 4 (STL @ MTL): Lame, no sweep. And I didn't score. Obviously that is why we didn't win this one. If I had scored, we would have swept the series and been moving on! Oh well, on to the next one! I bet we win the next game!

Game 5 (STL vs MTL): Moving on! I scored, too! Woo woo! On to Detroit! I gotta keep it up for us to win!


Finished the regular season with 9 goals and 16 points in 40 games. Not that good. That streak of like 18 games without scoring really killed me. I need to get more shots on net and improve my passing and defense, because I did really poorly. I wonder if I get sent down next season I will be able to really improve on my points and maybe be the best player? I sure hope so!


Game 1 (STL @ DET): 6-2 loss to start? Bad start, indeed. I didn't get any goals, but did get an assist. Either way, I was minus 1, and that is shades of regular season me, which sucks. Let's bounce back, eh?

Game 2 (STL @ DET): Hey, we tied the series! I didn't score or get any assists, though. Bah. I gotta do better than that if we get to advance. Where are my multiple two-goal games? Why aren't they happening now?

Game 3 (STL vs DET): Lost again, and I didn't get any goals. Did get an assist, but that isn't why I got drafted. I need goals! More goals! Come on, score!

Game 4 (STL vs DET): Dang, down 3-1 in the series! Not good! I did get an assist, but didn't score. I gotta score next game! Just gotta! I hope I score because that would be great, personally. Come on, let's set me up for some goals!?!?

Game 5 (STL @ DET): Dang. Playoffs over. No goals or assists, and was a minus one in this last game. Oh well. I did a lot better in the playoffs, but I have a ways to go!

Finished the playoffs with 5 goals and 9 points in 10 games. No bad, but I scored all my goals against Montreal, and no goals against Detroit. Good news was I was second on the team in points, which should be great for next season. Team leader in goals and points next year? I think so!

Well, up next is the draft, and then playing for the SMJHL one more time or playing up in the SHL! Either way, I hope I play better!
