Asbjørn Alexandersen: Profiling the Prospect
#1

The road to the SHL for Asbjørn has been probably one of the more unique stories given his family circumstances. Before the great war Asbjørn's great grandparents taught at the University of Copenhagen as they both taught political science and both understood the situation that was brewing in Germany so they decided for the betterment of their family to move their family back to Norway where they once originally lived. Fears of a German instability wanted the family to move back to their native land so they decided to put their teaching careers in Denmark on hold for the good of the family until it was safe to return. They lived and were able to get jobs teaching at the University of Oslo until they could go back to their favourite country of Denmark. They loved Demark for what it is and the beautiful city of Copenhagen. But with the war.. it was a problem which is why they moved north into Norway. After many years Asbjørn's parents wanted to see what the native Denmark looked like and see what their parents thought so highly of. So while Asbjørn's mother was pregnant they visited the city by taking a ferry to the mother land with their parents for one last trip as Asbjørn's great grand parents were very old and wanted one last trip. So they did and spent many months in Demark when one day... Asbjørn was born in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Why is this all important... Asbjørn in honour of his great grandparents has decided it would be the best way to honour them by playing the the Norwegian International Hockey Team. As he hopes to help Norway score some goals. Since we did some long traces of his family we saw the Alexandersen name has ties in Austria and also Sweden but he felt best for his career and fairness of the league to join the Norwegian squad.

Let's see what teams are getting with Asbjørn Alexandersen and what type of player he is. Well to begin with.. the biggest factor is the kid can skate, handle the puck really well but most importantly.. SCORE goals. With a hell of a shot and a desire to train he will only get better and could someday possibly join the Norwegian top line... Let's look @ the skill set when he qualified to join the SMJHL draft and what he is looking at now to show the kind of commitment he has to being a the next Great Dane.

Asbjørn Alexandersen's build at the time of paperwork:

CK = Checking: 50
FG = Fighting: 25
DI = Discipline: 62
SK = Skating: 76
ST = Strength: 70
EN = Endurance: 65
DU = Durability: 50
PH = Puck Handling: 77
FO = Face Offs: 50
PA = Passing: 60
SC = Scoring: 77
DF = Defense: 60
PS = Penalty Shot: 50

Like we said.. don't expect him to be the guy who is going to be out there trying to play defence at this point of his career... he wants to help the team win games and he helps by scoring goals. With Alexandersen taking the time to train and get the word out he has slowly started to get better and to show the clubs where his curent commitment lies in development this is the current build for Alexandersen:

CK = Checking: 50
FG = Fighting: 25
DI = Discipline: 62
ST = Strength: 70 --> 80
EN = Endurance: 65
DU = Durability: 50
PH = Puck Handling: 77 --> 78
FO = Face Offs: 50
PA = Passing: 60
SC = Scoring 77 --> 84
DF = Defense: 60
PS = Penalty Shot: 50

So for Jr GMs... and the international community watch out he's already earned 22 TPE since registering and the skies the limit... He'll be scoring goals on you goalies.. Watch out!
