They are not better than you by points, BUT there's a difference if you play 28 minutes a game or 21 minute per game.. Experts looked at that very carefully.

Yeah the difference is that they weren't on a team where they had to play 28 minutes a game and carry the team. Merica didn't have a McZehrl, King, Pettyfer, Brovalchuck or Winnfield. He had developing rookies. So clearly they don't look at the minutes properly.

Also keep in mind Merica took 497 face-offs, and was nearly 50%. Both career highs, and also 26 shots blocked.

The DIFFERENCE is that Merica was asked to do more with less than anybody else in the league and he did it with career numbers. He is in his prime, getting better.

And don't forget Merica had 50 points in Seattle with 21-23 minutes a game. So it isn't like he cant do it.

Cool list. Any chance we could see the numbers voted?

You mean who voted what for who?

I love how you are talking about the past when Winter was good, but now u bring up an argument and say Merica in past scored 50 points in 21 minutes a game.. It was past, just like you said..

I brought it up as like a cherry on top of my argument, it's just an extra nugget of information. I don't need the past to make my argument. Last season and going forward is more than enough.

Well, I agree and I know you're a great player, but still I think you got your 50 points because of minutes played.. Thats why I think Winter is better than you, but that's just my opinion!

Yeah. Not the names, just numbers. IDK, just curious.

I think it would be interesting to see as well. Don't really care who specifically voted what for who, but it would foster more discussion about different players and give newer guys like me an insight as to how players are valued in the league.

Look to get ranked next season, nice read. Great job on these.

Between Winter and Merica, I dont think theres a flat out winner. Personally I find Winter better because hes got more of a physical presence and hes got experience. They should both be around the same ranking.

Someone like Ivo though I think is a bit lower than those 2.

Also I will post the numbers without names later tonight, I think its a good idea.

Kane snubbed tbh. Third in league scoring this year and had 23 points in 15 mpg last season on the third line.

Perhaps I should submit my player next year for a rating.

You're welcome.
