Greetings SMJHL! After a long and very stressful process, I have finally selected a Co-GM just in time for the SMJHL Lottery!

For those who were not selected, do know that I did not make this selection easily, and that I had to go over and over your applications to determine who I thought would fit the position best based on my own experience, my preferences, and the qualifications of the applicants themselves.

My right-hand for the S23 season will be....

ByrdeMan!!!!

There may be many questions as to why I chose ByrdeMan, a GM who has already had a chance to work in a management position with the Impact. I have spoken with ByrdeMan many times in the past, and I feel that my experience as a former prospect of his and our dealings in the Impact LR in Season 20 will make us a good match. While there were many applicants with both experience managing and with proximity to the Impact, I felt that ByrdeMan had the best combination of the two so that we both could quickly turn the Impact into the team it was when I played there and so I could use his experience to keep me on the right track.

However Byrde also understands that this job could be short-term, and with the number of qualified applicants I had to deny, I want to make sure that those who were turned away at least can get a fair shake provided I am able to learn the position as quickly as I believed. This means that those who were denied for this season may have a shot to work with a more experienced General Manager.

Provided ByrdeMan can show me the ropes the way he believes he can, and provided I be the asset to the Impact just like I was in Season 20, we can easily contend for the Season 23 Four Star Cup!
