Right now there are so many people with 99s on more than one stat and it's not realistic. How many elite NHL skaters are there? Passers? Scorers? There should be very few people in the league that are at that level and it should be very difficult to get there.

As a side bar would it be possible to reward less TPE, however! There would be a general increase in attribute points over your time so most people or even inactive players could become decent through this system however at a certain point the attribute point increase depreciates and then it's solely relied upon tpe accumulation and then that turns into regression

It makes sense and I don't see any problems with them. Maybe not as much as before or just reward for the ones that stay active Quote:Originally posted by Pandar@Jun 14 2015, 07:03 AM<br /> Yeah exactly. Jagr, while still good, isn't really the player he was before because of age. Yes he can still play and is still a good player but it's uncomparable to what he would have in his prime Quote:Originally posted by Ballerstorm@Jun 14 2015, 08:41 AM<br /> I wholeheartedly agree but there are SHLers that disagree for some reason. Make it simple to earn TPE but not so much TPE that everyone is 99. It's not that difficult to understand but some people think having 99 in all stats = good and if we don't have 99 in all stats then it means we aren't good but the thing is that the middle of the pack disappears in this scenario. It's either you are TOO good or if you're just good then you're no good at all. <!--QuoteBegin-Andybj@Jun 14 2015, 08:52 AM As said before I like this idea as it makes things more realistic[/quote] I don't. we already have one weakness and it's still the same old thing. Would rather actually have TPE reduced without having a new update scale (because again, the last 2 ones didn't work, the next one will not work)

Also if we want incentive for people to recreate, we bring down the beginning TPE to 50 TPE, we give TPE to recreates, depending on the amount of TPE they have before they retire (the only thing again with this is that regression isn't harsh enough for this to work, they can just choose to retire in S30 with still having above or around 1000 TPE)
Players keep cash of their contract for their next player, this will actually have value for great players and then they can use those cash for their next player.... (again, need harsher regression or it'll just be a "win more" for the older players who are full build)

I'm still particularly attached to my suggestion.
When players hit early regression, cap how high non-strength stats can sit at (be immediate or through eventually aggressive TPE regression) and slowly scale the player back as they progress through the twilight of their career; eventually players getting to a point where they could have a depth player (let's say 85's across the board with 99's in their strengths, still a good player, but not an elite; second or third line player who needs to rely on the strengths of their initial player design to be entirely special) who is serviceable, but clearly no longer in their prime. That and whomever suggested an incentive for old players to recreate has an interesting idea.
