Colt for O'Callahan A hypothetical analysis (NOT REAL)

Kinda wish we still had George Laraque. Could have sent him to Boston for a 1st and Rask.

Hits taken, not pucks lost.

Also, segway here but holy fuck is it angering to see Takeaways and Giveaways listed but no stats for them.

According to JC IIRC, the new version of the sim has other great benefits but sadly doesn't calculate GV and TA

Of course he has outscored me every season. He hasn't played below the 2nd line during his career, where I haven't played above 3rd for the vast majority of mine, so what sort of argument are you trying to make here?
You make a great point. However that point you just made could be sued against you in regards to the CoC proposed trade. How would a guy that hasn't gone past the 3rd line up until this year, be comparable to a guy who may decline but only slightly?

You raise a good point as well, however I knew my place on the team and could have stayed in juniors for another season instead I came in knowing if we secured some free agents it likely I would be playing the third line. Ace approached me and asked me to switch to center, so I figured I would slot in behind Carter and have Wiki on my wing, but turns out he lit up on the 2nd line while I performed great as a shutdown faceoff winning forward.

So why screw up what IS working? We ended up winning and with the retiring players I assumed I would be moving back to right wing. Didn't expect Carter to be sent out, so now Colt is literally where I expected Carter to be this season in terms of line placement on the team playing with the same players I expected him to play with and they and myself thankfully have been producing.

So with similar stats, I am seeing a very similar production in an almost half season of games.

That leaves me to ask, let's flip things around a bit, how much better do you think Carter would be doing if he was in New England and Colt was in Seattle? Do you think they would have the same production as the other? Serious question.

Going to be honest, I don't care enough to look. I just wouldn't compare a player to another player unless they had 3 seasons of the same output, because as it stands now Colt is nowhere near CoC. CoC would have to be a 20 point player for the last 3-4 seasons for everyone to even considering comparing their careers. It's like me saying C.J. James is better than Jordin FourFour, there is no way I have the stats and awards to back a statement like that up, so I'd never say it.
