One person is the game's Narrator (popularly called the "God") - he moderates the game, rather than participating. Everyone else is dealt a card that gives them their secret role as a player.

Roles
Narrator

Civillian-side:
Civilians - No special powers
Detective - Can inspect the roles of players
Doctor - Can save someone at night, cannot save if they are voted by townspeople!

Mafia-side:
Mafia - Can kill someone on the civillian side once per day

Game Play:

1) All players
Each time a new day arrives, everyone (Even the mafias) can vote who to kill if they suspect that they are a member of the mafia. Vote here in the thread, do not PM me.

The following are the commands, note that everything should be bolded:

Vote to abstain:

Change vote:

example: Kill Studmuffinz

2) The Mafia Role

The Mafia has the ability to kill someone on the civillian side. The rule to vote to kill someone is like rule # 1 but instead of voting on the forums, they will be voting somewhere private (I will make a chatzy for all the mafias to chat! Wink

They will each vote a person they want to kill. The majority vote will be the one to be killed. If there is a tie in votes, the Mafia leader (Which will be appointed) has the ability to choose which one to kill.

After this phase, the mafia leader sends me a PM about who they have chosen to kill (which is the majority vote).
Keep in mind that the subject of your PM must be your role so I wont be confused!

3) Other Roles

[/b][/size] For the other roles with specialty, they should PM me what they want to do.

Example, if your role is a detective, you have the ability to inspect a role of a player, to do so, PM me who you want to inspect.

4) Communication

Communication, teamwork, and trust is very important in this game.
The mafia will know the mafias but they will not know who is the detective or the doctor.
The townspeople will not know anyone!

Now the detective can detect the roles of people and he is usually one of the first player to form an alliance against the mafia (unless if the mafia kills him the first day! Wink

but it is up to the other player to believe if he is a detective or not

5) Start of new day

Start of new day will be every 8 PM PT. At this time, everyone can use their specialties or vote again.

Etiquette:

1) If you have been killed, you will no longer be allowed to be part of the game, that involves sharing information to everyone in the game. This is really important. Players that is caught cheating will be punished.

If you are a Mafia role, you are no longer allowed to go in the Mafia Chatzy after you have died.
If you are any other role, don't go in the chatzy if you have created one, nor don't PM each other about information!

2) Do not use the colour blue. Narrator colour

3) Be active! Make sure to vote once each day. Failure to vote two times in a row or four times the entire game will have you killed by the narrator. (Even abstaining will count as a vote! So abstain if you don't want to vote for someone to be killed) If this continues to be a habit in the next games, you will not be allowed to play the next few games.

I will make 2 Chatzys. one for the mafias and one for the detective. All the mafia member will be able to go in their chatzy and they can invite anyone they want (if it is your strategy). The detective can also invite anyone they want if they trust them.

I will not title the Chatzy "mafia chatzy", or "detective chatzy", I will name them random numbers.

In addition to this, any members can make their own chatzy if they wish to do so or they can use the PM function here for communication.
