I would've looked over the apps, made Brandon/Ofer vote, reconsidered the apps, forgotten to vote, gotten busy with real life, remembered the apps, realized the draft was the next day and held off expansion for another year because it "wasn't feasible" in such a short time frame.

Thanks to everyone who congratulated me.
I know it's a temporary team but I plan on making the best of the situation and will operate the franchise like we are going to be around for the long haul. With the current rate that the league is growing at, hopefully the temporary tag will be removed soon. I look forward to helping the newest members of the SHL however possible and intend on establishing a fun, active locker room that people want to be a part of. It will be tough to leave the Knights locker room. They are great people and I've spent a lot of time chatting with the team over the past few seasons. I would like to thank JRT for letting me hang around the past few seasons and giving me the opportunity to see how a top level SMJHL franchise should opporate.
I had planned on naming the team The Portland Mavericks but JP knows a great city when he see one!
Hopefully the team name and logo will be made official in the near future.

On my phone so I can't really make a great speech like bottas, but thanks everyone for congratulating me. I'm so psyched to be getting this chance I dont really know what to say. My goal ever since I have joined this league over a year ago was to become a gm. Thank you to everyone in the HO who gave me there votes and showed a lot of trust in me. I'm so excited to get this opportunity. That said my team's location is in Colorado. The branding and team identity is finished and can post when I get on my computer, or if someone from the head office wants to post it they can to. Again thanks everyone! I'm really happy to get this job. I can't wait to get started.
