I would argue starting the league small. 4 teams for Minors, 4 teams for Majors. Gives you a 54 man obligation for the first 2 seasons which should be easy to hit, building a recruiting base.

That's the current talking point.
Other talking points:
Filling BoD positions
Switching sim duties from Pizza to me
How the current teams should liquidate / be moved to minors (basically what we do with the season or 2 that's in the books)

I'm out this weekend, but I'm going to hunker down and sort some of that shit out sometime next week once I cap on PT's here. Prioritize it, make the wording clearer, etc.
Repopulating the upper offices would basically be first come first serve, provided you have proper credentials. The priority would be establishing rules, giving people jobs, grabbing MORE people, and playing some baseball.
Quote:Originally posted by Jackson@Sep 10 2015, 03:27 PM I know very well how the sim works. Velocity directly affects your stuff rating...
Open up OOTP, give yourself a 0 in everything except a curveball, write down your stuff rating and then crank your velocity and tell me it doesn't change..
I misspoke when I said it only effects fastballs. What I meant was that velocity more greatly effects your stuff rating when coupled with a fastball. Obviously raising your velocity gives you better stuff, what it doesn't do is make your slow pitches worse. If you throw a high 90's, but your change-up skill is very high as well your change up will be thrown much slower, in the sim making it a much better pitch.
I think we are arguing the same point here but focusing on two different aspects of it. Point being that the velocity rating update scale was totally messed up from the get.
The way the scale was, you're basically better off not wasting points on velocity when you could instead crank up a slow pitch's rating, yes.
The ROI only comes from fast pitches - but you can do the same for slow without even worrying about it. It's like trying to be an elite scorer as a winger versus a center, to be elite at your position a winger is more efficient because you don't need points in face offs.
If you run the same experiment, but do it with 75 velocity and put the same 200 points in fastball versus curve, your curve will give you a better ROI.
My point was, removing knuckleballs does nothing to solve that issue. Fixing the scale might help, but probably not - you need a scale that starts in the middle and allows you to go up OR down.
So yeah, everyone wasted points/time while Maddux dominated :D
Keep all players as is and do redraft. It will give the league depth. If some members don't return and we have a slow start with activity at least we still have competive ball.
Some people, me included worked very hard to build a great player. I would hate to see all that hard work be for not.
I would also like to put my name forward as head updater, as I won't put up with people not doing there job and replace them Asap.

Unfair advantage, wipe the slate clean. Jesús Rodriguez deserves to die tbh.
Also, let's bring a team back to Houston, just not the Tejanos lol. Maybe the Oilers since they're a defunct franchise? I'd love me some of that
