Top 100 SHL Players of Today! S26

<div align="center">[Image: Top-100%20Bottas_zpsrqqqowwq.png]</div>

6. (S20) D (Los Angeles Panthers) - Valterri Bottas || +4
Grade: 73/80 || Average: 9.13
Past Seasons: S22-76, S23-44, S24-48, S25-10

At number 6, the top defenseman on this list, is Panthers defenseman Valterri Bottas. Bottas had his coming out party in S24 when he scored 47 points and almost took home the Stevens Trophy for top defenseman. He used it as motivation in S25 to dominate his defensive peers and run away with the Stevens trophy with a 48 point campaign and leading his own team in scoring. Bottas has made the top-10 for the second season in a row, and this young defender is showing no signs of stopping.

Alonzo Garbanzo Final Tallies (Among Defensemen):
2nd in Goals (208), All-Time Assists Leader (765)*, All-Time Points Leader (973), 3rd in Hits (2587), All-Time Blocked Shots Leader (1882)*
*All-Time Leader Among All Skaters

5. (S26) LW (Portland Admirals) Ignant Ogorodnikov || New Entry
Grade: 73/80 || Average: 9.13
Past Seasons: None

At number 5 is a player who many may be surprised to see on this list. For the first time, we see a player make it on the list without having played a single SHL game, and this player has made it to the top-10 immediately! What makes him one of the top players on this list? He started out in the SMJHL with respectable stats, but he has demonstrated the intangibles and will to win that very few players even in the SHL demonstrate. He is headed for a long and prosperous career, and his talent shown already makes him an obvious top-10 choice.

Every year I look forward to this, but I gotta say that it just lost a lot of validity. I don't mean that as a slight to Ignant, but seriously? That's just a silly ranking.

I was pumped to move up from 94 to 18 after a 49 point season. Someone else gets Top 5 after doing literally nothing besides getting drafted? Lol who actually voted this? Just lost every ounce of interest in this. Whole thing is irrelevant now and I'm genuinely hoping it's a giant troll...
